Satan never rests to make you do evil … but if ever one of you fights him well, be careful to catch his last trick. He will make you feel proud of your goodness or at least he will try. If ever a person needs to humble themselves and purify their intents for doing good … not for the sake of looking good in the eyes of others but for being good for the sake of Allah (SWT) … then let him fall in the eyes of man and see how he copes.
The pious are most sublime and conscious of God when they are alone …
It is not an easy state to be in …
A shaykh battled with this was given the practice to sit in public with an open wine bottle … people would look on and second guess him … One said “astaghfirullah don’t you know this is haram?” and the man responded saying “By Allah I have not touched it, can you accuse me if you have not seen me drink from it?”
Beware of his last trick … ensure your most holiest moments are in private

Sorry Mr. Psyah, Satan can not make you do evil all the time. Correct your statement and I will read rest of it.
The idea is to encourage people to prevent making any real conclusive decisions about others based on their outward behaviours ... there may be a number of things that warrant them ... some people act harsh so not to be praised by others because when they are praised by others then they feel good about themselves ... this pretence is to purify the intent to please Allah alone ... however such people usually do this in areas outside their own for being cavalier makes others think that they are doing it appear as though they are not seeking approval of men. Also, haram is forbidden anyway ... and if harshness was done in public then in private they will need to follow it up with apology ...
A man who feels near perfect will be arrogant and that will drop him in the eyes of Allah (SWT) ... Just imagine that big long snake at the second to last square on a snakes and ladders board ... well that is the last trick of the Serpent - Satan ... Also if a person does not feel a sinner then his pleas for forgiveness will be empty ... We sin and feel guilt - this certifies our repentance ... allowing us to move to that last square on the game board.
