Why would Allah mian decide not to send us any more prophets after Hazrat Mohammad (saw) knowing that the world would be a pretty messed up place in the 21st Century?
We’re in desperate need of some guidance, perhaps even more desperate than people were 14 centuries ago, and yes the Quran is the ultimate guide BUT why not another prophet? Another leader who can sort us out?
Coz Allah Mian have given this job to the prophet's S A W ummet . As a member of this ummet its every1 duty to do " amr bil maroof n nahi anil munkar "
**Hazrat Ibn Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah [S.A.W.W]((P.B.U.H) said, "If Allah afflicts punishment upon a nation, it befalls the whole population indiscriminately and (on day of Resurrection) then they will be resurrected and judged according to their deeds.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. **
Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Araaf Ayat 4. And a great number of towns (their population) We destroyed (for their crimes). This Hadith made is very clear that when Allah's punishment comes to pass, it does not distinguish between the upright and the wicked. However, the pious people will be saved from punishment after their death while the wicked ones will be punished in the Hell. May Allah save us from all types of punishments.
Other Prophets came one after another because the people at that time had completely forgotten their relegion....
Teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) were perfect... they do not need further refreshment or enhancement....
and neither have we forgotten our religion
and Allah has provided aalims in this only ummah..... for the right guidance...
and last but not the least Quran is their for right path.....
BTW bbq you are confusing messenger with reformer.
We do have message and allah promised it to protect it(1400 years ago)
And NOW after 1400 years we KNOW allah kept his word and the message is what it was.
Not changed!!
I think it's because Islam is the complete religion. It says in the Qur'an that there can be nothing more complete and perfect than that, and our Nabi (saw) was a messenger who delivered it to us in the best way possible. Now it's our turn to take it or leave it. That's where the test begins.
Ok I was also thinking perhaps one of the reasons why there will be no other prophet is because we're moving towards Qayamat... One of the signs of Qayamat is that Islam will become worn out like clothes until no one would have a clue about even the basic 5 pillars... So the same cycle cannot be repeated over and over again (i.e. misguided nations --> a prophet sent --> people come back to the right path --> people lose track again and so on...) ... So hmmm... my thinking is all weird today!
Why would Allah mian decide not to send us any more prophets after Hazrat Mohammad (saw) knowing that the world would be a pretty messed up place in the 21st Century?
Even if Allah did send any more Prophets judging by what happened to Imam Hussain and the decendants of the last great Prophet no way would Allah want to have that sort of thing happen again.
Hence no more Prophets till Qiyamath i guess BarbieCue is partly right in that we are not worthy of any more becuase humanity has stained itself with the blood of previous messengers and even with the decendants of the last one.

Are we simply not worthy of it?
If you look around you, you find a lot of persons, I would not call them prophets, but they are in a way telling what the future holds for us..................in the MEDIA Today!........Right?
