Qadianis/Ahmadis of course recite the same words of Shahadah, but do they mean the same meaning or do they have some other meanings in their hearts?
Most people would have seen Qadianis displaying Kalima, La ilaha illa Llah Muhammadur Rasoolu Llah, in very bold and big Arabic letters on their shops, houses, community centers, publications etc., as if expressing their love for it but perhaps trying, subconciously, to prove to themselves that they are ‘muslims’.
Question is: What is the difference between a Muslim reciting the Kalima and a Qadiani reciting the same Kalima?
Let me highlight the differences between the two by giving few quotations to prove what exactly is meant by a qadiani when he recites the Kalima Tayyibah. However before you read these quotations please bear in mind the following:
Every Muslims attest to and unconditionally believe in every saying and act of our Holy Prophet Muhammad SAAW, irrespective of whether we have heard it or read it or not. Rasoolullah’s every single word is an article of our faith.
We expect and rightly assume that same should be the case with the followers of Mirza ghulam Qadiani, whom they consider as their prophet/messiah/mahdi etc. etc. Whatever he has said or written should be and would be considered as part of their faith. It is in this light that the following quotations should be read. Qadianis/Ahmadis cannot claim that they do not know or that they do not recite the ‘Kalima’ with the same conviction as is implied in these quotations. It is their job to know all this, or else denounce their faith in Mirza Ghulam.
Mirza Ghulam claims to be Mohammad (saaw):
- Mirza Ghulam says:
“'Mohammadur Rasoolullah wal lazeena m’ahoo, ashiddao ‘ala alkuffare rohamao bainahum’ in this revelation God has named me Mohammed and Messenger as well.”
(Roohani Khazain vol 18 p.207)
2)Mirza Ghulam said:
“Holy Prophet has two advents or in other words you can say that in one Buroozi way coming again of Holy Prophet (saaw) was promised which has been fulfilled by the appearance of Promised Messiah and Promised Mahdi.”
(Roohani Khazain vol 17 p.249)
3)Mirza says:
“Anyone who differentiates between me and MUSTAFA (pbuh), he has not seen me and has not recognized me.”
(Roohani Khazain vol 16 p.171)
4) Mirza Basheer Ahmad s/o Mirza Ghulam says:
“Maseeh Mowood is not a seperate thing from Holy Prophet pbuh, but it is He Himself who has come again in this world in Buroozi form… therefore is there any doubt that God has sent Holy Prophet again in Qadian?”
(Kalimat Alfasl p.104-105, Review of Religions Qadian March 1915)
-
Mirza Ghulam says:
“I have said several times that according to the verse (of Holy Quran) ‘wa akhareena minhum lamma yalhaqoo behim’ as Burooz I am the same Prophet, the Khatamul Anbiyyah, and 20 years ago God named me Mohammed and Ahmad in Braheen-e-Ahmadiyya and declared me His Being.”
(Aik ghalti ka azala, Roohani Khazain vol 18 p.212) -
Mirza Ghulam says:
“But the fact is that the spirituality of Holy Prophet pbuh (in the form of Mirza Ghulam) in this end of the sixth millenium, that is in these days, is much more stronger and perfect and forceful as compared to those (first) years, like a full moon.”
(Khutba-e-Ilhamiah, Roohani Khazain vol 16 p.271) -
Basheer Ahmad s/o Mirza Ghulam said:
“Now it is clear that if rejecting Holy Prophet is KUFR then rejecting Promised Messiah should also be KUFR, because Promised Messaih is nothing seperate from Holy Prophet, but it is Him and if he who rejects Promised Messiah is not KAFIR then the rejector of Holy Prophet is also not Kafir, God forbid.”
(Kalimat alFasl p.146-147 Review of Religion, Qadian, Mar-Apr 1915) -
Mirza Ghulam said:
“The holy Prophet (saaw) had two births as a Prophet. In other words, we may say that it was promised that the Holy Prophet (saaw) would be born in the world once more (reincarnated) and this was fulfilled by the incarnation of the Promised Messiah and the Promised Mahdi”.
(Tohfa-e-Golravia, Roohani Khazain vol 17 p.249) -
Mirza said:
“And Allah bestowed upon me the bounty of the holy Prophet and made it perfect, and he drew towards me the kindness and generosity of that merciful Prophet, so much so that my entity became his entity. Thus he who joins my Jamaat really becomes one of the Sahaba of my Chief who was better then all the Prophets. It is not hidden from those with the ability to think that this is what the words “others of them” mean. The person who differentiates between me and Mustafa (i.e. Holy Prophet pbuh) has neither seen me nor recognised me”.
(Khutbah-e-Ilhamiah, Roohani Khazain, vol.16, pp.258-259) -
Mirza said:
“When I am the Holy Prophet incarnate and when all the accomplishments of Muhammad including the prophethood are reflected in my mirror of my shadiness, then who is the man who has claimed prophethood in a seperate being ?”
(Ek Ghalti Ka Izala, Roohani Khazain, vol.18,p.212) -
"Thus does any doubt remain that God has sent Muhammad (pbuh) again in Qadian to fulfil his promise?
(Kalimat alFasl by Mirza Basheer Ahmad, Review of Religions p.105, No.3, vol.14) -
Official Qadiani mouthpiece, Al-Fazl from Qadian wrote:
“The entity of the promised Masih (Mirza), in the sight of Allah is the entity of the Holy Prophet (SAW). In other words, in the records of Allah there is no duality or difference between the promised Masih and the holy Prophet (SAW). Rather they both share the same eminence, the same rank, the same status and the same name. Although verbally they are two, yet in reality they are one and the same”.
(Al-Fazl, Qadian, vol.3, No.37, dated 16th September 1915, as cited in Qadiani Mazhab page 207, 9th edition, Lahore)
“Muhammad has descended again amongst us
and is greater in his glory than before
He who wants to see Muhammad in perfection
Should look at Ghulam Ahmad in Qadian.”
(Qazi Zahoor Ahmad Akmal Qadiani, printed in Qadiani Newspaper Paigham-us Sulh dated 14th March 1916)
From what has been said above, following conclusions can be drawn:
Mirza Ghulam considered himself to be the none other than Holy Prophet saaw, reincarnate; (all quotes)
His followers also considered him to be the second advent of Holy Prophet;(all quotes)
Any qadiani/ahmadi follower who thinks that Mirza Ghulam is different from Holy Prophet Mohammad Mustafa pbuh, is not a believer of Mirza (see quote No. 3);
Holy Prophet’s Second Birth in the form of Mirza Ghulam is more perfect than His first coming (see quote No. 6);
Braheen-e-Ahmadiyya is the Book of God (see quote No. 5);
All muslims are Kafir because they have rejected Mirza Ghulam (see quote No. 7);
Mirza’s followers who have seen him are called SAHABA (see quote No. 9)
Below I have given the opinion of well respected scholars who have rejected that any prophet could come after Mohammed (saaw).
Please Note: these are properly qualified scholars, schooled in the exact science of Fiqh and including the opinion of the universally recognised Imam Abu Hanifa one of the four Schools of thought you will see referred to by any independent study of Islamic thought. There is plenty of other evidence from Qur’an and Hadith but i feel most of this has already been covered.
Imam Abu Hanifa (80-150 A.H.) is of the opinion that asking for the proof of prophethood from any claimant to prophethood after Prophet Muhammad(SAW) is itself Kufr (unbelief); since the Prophet(SAW) has himself said that there is no Prophet after him.
(Manaqibul Imam-e-Azam Abi Hanifa Ahmad Bin Makki, P. 161, Vo.1, Hyderabad)
Imam Tahaavi (239-321 A.H.) has declared that Prophet Muhammad(SAW) is the Chosen Servant as well as the chosen and beloved Prophet of Allah(SWT). He is the last of Prophets, Leader of the pious ones, Chief of the Prophets and beloved of Allah the Almighty; after him the claim of Prophethood is transgression and following of Satan.
(Sharhut-Tahavia Fil Aqa’idatus Salfiah, P. 15, Egypt)
Allama Ibn-e-Hazam of Spain (384-456 A.H.) says that surely the line of Prophethood is finished up after Prophet Muhammad(SAW), because there is no more Revelations (Vahi) from Allah(SWT) and Allah has already declared that Prophet Muhammad(SAW) is not the father of any man among you but that he is the Prophet of Allah and the Seal of Prophets.
(Al-Mohalli, P. 26, Vol. 1)
Imam Ghazali (450-505 A.H.) has written that the unanimous opinion of the entire Ummah is that by the Hadith “Laa-Nabi Ba’di” , the Prophet(SAW) meant that after him neither any Nabi will come nor any Rasool. The Ummah is also unanimous on this point that there is no scope of any other meaning or exception to it.
(Al-Iqtisaad Fil Eteqaad, Al-Matba-a-Tul Adabia, P. 114, Egypt)
Qazi Ayaz (D. 544 A.H.) is of the opinion that anyone who claims to be a Prophet (after Prophet Muhammad(SAW)) or says that he is getting Revelations from Allah(SWT) is a Kafir.
(Shifa, P. 270, Vol. 2)
“..Similarly, anyone who claims to be a Prophet with of after our Holy Prophet(SAW) … or claims prophethood for himself or thinks that receiving prophethood is permitted or thinks that anyone can reach the status of prophethood through the purity of heart … Similarly, anyone who claims to receive revelations, even if he does not clearly claims prophethood, … All such people are Kafir, because they are disbelieving the Holy Prophet(SAW) who has informed us that He(SAW) is the Final Prophet, there won’t be any Prophet after him, and that He(SAW) has been sent for the entire mankind. The entire Ummah is united in this stance. According to the Holy Quran, Sunnah, and Ajma’a (unanimity of Ummah), the Kufr of such persons is absolute… Anyone who is against this consensus (jma’a) upon the Kofr of the claimant of prophethood is also a Kafir.”
Allama Shehristani (D. 544 A.H.) is of the view that if anyone says that after Prophet Muhammad(SAW) there is any Prophet to come (excepting Jesus(pbuh)), there is no doubt in his being a Kafir.
(Al-Milal Wan Nahal, P. 249, Vol. 3)
Allama Ibne Nojeim (D. 970 A.H.) has written that anyone, who does not accept Muhammad(SAW) to be the last prophet, is not a Muslim at all. The knowledge and acceptance of this fundamental belief of Islam is compulsory to all.
(Al-Ashbah Wan Nazaair, Kitabus-Siyar, Babur Riwwah, P. 179)
If a man does not accept that Prophet Muhammad(SAW) is the very last prophet, he is not a Muslim; and if he says that he himself is a prophet of Allah(SWT), he should be viewed as a Kafir.
(Fataawa-e-Alamgeeri, P. 263, Vol. 2)
If someone does not keep this belief that Hazrat Muhammad(SAW) is The Last Prophet or claims in persian that “I am a Messenger” and he means that he conveys the message (of Allah(SWT)), even then he becomes a Kafir.
(Fatwaa-e-Alamgeeri, P. 263, Vol. 3)
Maulana Ali Qari (D. 1016 A.H.) says that after the Prophethood of our Prophet(SAW) claim of prophethood is Kufr.
(Shar-he-Fiqah-e-Akbar, P. 202)
