Re: The Job Corner
For UK people, Royal Mail jobs are open for Christmas casual periods only. I worked with them last year , my duties were involved working in the Warehouse, sorted letters, stamped and sorted parcels. It is really good opportunity for college and university students to work with them. It helped me improve my knowledge regarding different countries, cities and post codes,it was so much fun. I spent my money on Boxing day, enjoyed shopping. My interview is booked for next week, I might work this year too. Just apply for the job ASAP. :k:
Christmas jobs at Royal Mail
Royal Mail delivers to every address in the UK and we’re going to be busy over the festive Christmas period. We’ll be sorting more than 130 million items each day, nearly double the normal amount, and we need help from extra people.
This December we will:
Employ around 18,000 additional staff
Have vacancies across the country
Have a variety of shifts at most locations

Re: The Job Corner
what do you guys mean by entry level here?
Re: The Job Corner
Entry level refers to a position where you might have some of the skills and qualification related to the job but haven't worked in the same role before. For example if you know photoshop, illustrator, flash etc but haven't created any websites for a client you'll be applying for an entry level web designer position.
Re: The Job Corner
Ok.
Re: The Job Corner
For folks willing to break-in into the information security arena, there are one or two entry to mid level positions available in my circle.... positions are based in karachi and on the banking side... Please pass the word around.

hi Blossom, it could very well be a spam. These days you cant really trust all these work from home kind of jobs .. but what you can do is check about the company online , if they are asking for too much of your personal information or money before starting work then they are definitely fraud.
Some large companies do give options to work from home, but checking out their company websites shows their integrity of business and helps differentiate between fake and real jobs ..
The Job Corner
Ok thanks CB!

I would like to add to what CB said. There are a few things you can check before you start working for any company from home.
1- Try google search with the company name and include the word scam in the search. If it gives results, read through the reviews and find out what other people have to say. If it doesn't give any results that is a red flag too, if there is a business that offers you work at home position, it might be too new to be reliable.
2- If the company is based in US or Canada, check on BBB.org if the business exists. Some of these businesses might not even exist as a legitimate business.
3- If they are asking you for money upfront, even if it is $10, that is definitely a scam. (Legit companies who offer work from home positions would generally charge a commission out of the work you perform but not ask you to pay anything upfront)
4- If they are offering you a get rich scheme, its a fraud. There is no way anyone can earn hundred of dollars in a few days without putting in any efforts.
