Re: The Job Corner
I would like to add to what CB said. There are a few things you can check before you start working for any company from home.
1- Try google search with the company name and include the word scam in the search. If it gives results, read through the reviews and find out what other people have to say. If it doesn’t give any results that is a red flag too, if there is a business that offers you work at home position, it might be too new to be reliable.
2- If the company is based in US or Canada, check on BBB.org if the business exists. Some of these businesses might not even exist as a legitimate business.
3- If they are asking you for money upfront, even if it is $10, that is definitely a scam. (Legit companies who offer work from home positions would generally charge a commission out of the work you perform but not ask you to pay anything upfront)
4- If they are offering you a get rich scheme, its a fraud. There is no way anyone can earn hundred of dollars in a few days without putting in any efforts.
