Is it something that is really necessary today? Attacks made on Muslims around the world are not really about Islam, it’s all about money and greed! So why are Muslims falling prey to stupid governments and sacrificing their lives and millions of innocent lives for the sake of these kafirs?
Has Islam failed it’s children to not know better and why are we not following the teaching of Mohammed PBUH and put our time and money into helping the people re-build their broken homes and lives rather than going out destroying many more? I mean, how many times will the greedy governments be able to destroy the homes in Iraq before they give up?
Isn’t it about time everyone woke up to reality and helped the misleaded souls see the right way! We just don’t seem to have time for our friends, families and neighbours anymore which is why the war-mongers are finding it so easy to find naive little minds to brainwash and get to do their dirty work!
I would like to hear your comments on this subject? ![]()

as some "warmongers" according to you will rightly point out that the Prophet(pbuh) himself led dozens of raids and battles.....so fightng is also very much a part of Prophet(pbuh)'s life

mainly because doves like you do not give convincing arguments to prove your point
Re: The Jihad?
Would yoube more specific? Dont you think that the post and the topic seem a bit out of tune with each other?
Re: The Jihad?
An attack, is an attack...is an attack. What difference does it make?

Because the masses are ignorant, and the leadership is corrupt.

What use is a built home if, at a whim, your enemy can come and knock it down...Iraq is a good example...that war was based on a lie, not provocation...what to do about that sort of thing?
If the central idea you are positing is that Jihad now days is meaningless since it is always at the behest of corrupt leaders, you're correct in a sense. It doesn't really negate the concept of Jihad...but then, it's well known that you can't really fight a Jihad without some form of unity within the Ummah...
Re: The Jihad?
The Prophet fought battles for Islam!
Today Islam is the strongest religion in the world...what is the Jihad fighting for now?
My anger rises from the ignorant rantings of the London Bombers...where the youngest members of the group were boys who had only just turned to Islam and told that they must hurt the British people for voting in Blair who bombed their 'brothers and sisters' in Iraq!
Well those boys should really have been getting better guidance from their friends and families to know that that isn't the right path to take in this...their actions have killed many Muslim brother's and sister's on their own doorstep!
I started this thread to see if anyone can put in a sensible reply to knock some sense into the youth of today!

A home can be rebuilt again and again...once a life it lost it's lost forever!
What I was trying to say is that instead of spending all that time planning attacks and wasting that money on making bombs, if they put it all towards rebuilding the war torn homes then eventually the west will get tired of bombing those areas!?!
Re: The Jihad?
i don't agree with raids and battles and hurting innocent lives to glorify ourselves and religion!
The Prophet had reasons for His raids and battles! Your comment signifies you agree with the terrorist who kill in the name of Islam?

Depends on what the cause is but under the present circumstances ....neither do I

Good first step....now explain it to those young kids why those battles were justified and the killings today are not.How were the circumstances then different from today ....rather than ignoring those who preach terrorism confront them with arguments thats the only way to prevent young men/women falling victim to their rhetoric
Problem is that you guys like to sweep such things under the carpet ...it only makes things worse

Thank you Das Reich...that's exactly the problem!
I always remember a story my mum told me when I was young (only she tells it better):
There once was a poor shepherd who spent the whole day attending to his flock so he could feed his family and didn't find the time to pray five times a day.
In the same area was a holy man who never missed a prayer in all his life and spent the whole day reciting the Koran.
One day Allah SWT asked them 'which one of you do you think are going to heaven andwho thinks he'll be going to hell?'
The shepherd lowered his head in shame and said 'I believe I'm the one who shall go to hell because I don't find the time to pray'.
The holy man raised his head with pride and said 'I believe I shall go to heaven for I haven't missed a single prayer and I recite every day without fail'.
To this Allah SWT replied 'the shepherd shall have a place in heaven, for no matter he hasn't found the time to pray, he has remained a good honest man and has done all he can to look after his family and sheep. Whereas the holy man will go to hell for his pride and for looking down upon his muslim brother, rather than help him so he can find time to pray'.
It is unfortunate how the religiously educated fail the youth of today and are too busy trying to secure their own places in heaven to have forgotten about the true meaning of Islam! :(
Re: The Jihad?
^ sister i dont know how much of this story is true ...but I agree with you that our good deeds should not make us vain and arrogant
there is actually no concept of a religiously educated class in Islam ....but because the common people have generally accepted that religion is the domain of the "mullah" it has given them a monopoly over it ....I dont mean to be too critical, my personal observation is that the vast majority of "mullah" are honest and sincerely religious people and it was due to their efforts has islam been preserved so far but some have also taken advantage of this control they can exert over people's mind ....
we all have to share the blame for the way these youngesters react
