If Japanese don't eat them, then the whales will die a useless death at the north pole and rot. Its much better to have them be useful for both scientific research as well as sushi for those who appreciate sushi. Rather then stopping the Japanese, we should start a fundraising to subsidize some costs of capturing these whales. The poor Japanese should not be asked to foot the entire bill. Do you have a PayPal account to start some fundraising?
whales are intelligent beings, they have language, culture and feelings…killing them is a crime…eating them also…nasty japanese whale eaters…I’m boycoting japan
Faisal is mean
it okey to eat chicken because firstly it tastes nice...especially deep fried in batter, secondley there appear to be a few of them lying around here and there
but if the greedy japanese take OUR whales we will have nothing to watch when we go whale watching
They're welcome to it, I lived there for 3 years and the place is a dump, maybe they can high-tech it up and get people inside loos or something. The sheep would enjoy the change too, maybe stop them walking funny, I hear the japs aren't as well endowed.

A Japanese fleet left for the Antarctic last week and plan to double its target catch, spearing more than 900 minke whales, and 10 fin whales – an endangered species second in size only to the blue whale.
Tokyo maintains that whale meat is an important part of its culinary tradition, but anti-whaling nations and environmental groups condemn as cruel and unnecessary the practice of hunting the giant marine mammals.
Rattenbury said uncontrolled commercial whaling over the past century had wiped out 90 percent of the planet’s whales, and has brought many species to the brink of extinction.
“We are facing a growing wave of ocean extinction, our seas have reached a tipping point with scores of species of fish, birds and mammals edging towards extinction,” he said.
It’ll take too long to go to poles to watch whales. Keep a few in your neighborhood pond and watch them as often as you want. Let Japanese eat their sushi in peace.
