Very true....we have collected Apple products in last few years specially MacBook Pro, iPad, iPod, iPhone, and seamless integration of iOS makes it easy to use one and move to other from where you left at other device.
It would be great if one day both Android and iOS can seamlessly integrate..:)
Oh, that reminds me I love that I can see what I was doing on chrome on my latop from my phone. Hopefully apple won't be a prude for too long and integrate with products from other brands.

yes, their Maps program is quite a failure for this very reason.
It's important to "collaborate" in this day and age.
Apple just cut off with YouTube/Google Maps. It would take a lot for them to get back with them.
They don't usually look for consumer convenience. They are very self obsessed and self contained when it comes to business strategy.
confused.... but isn't every company's business strategy is maximizing shareholder's wealth?....and that has positive and direct correlation with volume of sales?....if the company is not paying attention to customer convenience then sales would decrease hence minimized shareholders wealth...resulting in investor pulling out of that company....tumbling stocks...and finally default by company....and company gone.
I do not see any of that happening anytime soon...:)

PG, I think you're new to Apple as a company :)
They don't listen to the consumers, they make the consumers listen to them.
you guys are giving human emotions to companies. ultimately it is all about selling well and making profit. and what sells well is what consumers feel is what they want.
mapping is a commodity, google doesn't have the monopoly they had on it anymore. they are getting dropped even by amazon who are sourcing it from nokia for the kindle.
you can watch youtube videos on the iphone in safari. html 5 is here. you don't need a special app to play youtube videos on the no-flash iphones, like was needed until a while ago.
EVERY company is "greedy" if you want to look at it that way. they aren't non-profit orgs.
and the only reason apple can at times decide for their customers is because the customers still believe they have a good product. what use is NFC on your phone if you have no where to use it for another year or two? meanwhile its daemon sits and eats your memory, cpu, battery. there is more to a great product that great bits and pieces.
You're right about the fact that all companies look out for profit.
Here's the psychological aspect of it: The thing about Apple is how they influence my thinking. For example, until a few months ago, I used iPhones, always used Apple computers at work, got iPads as they came out (stood in line, my husband did at 4 am), etc etc... Never even looked beyond Apple because I was a satisfied consumer. I had no need to look outside. Thought everyone else was foolish for buying non-Apple products. Didn't care less about what was happening in the world. There was this comfort within me that I'm with Apple so I'm cutting edge.
That's pretty much how Apple customers think. It's the culture. That's how Apple works. Which is awesome for them, and for the consumer that is satisfied...until a little rebel like myself sees a little hole to escape out into the big wide world outside of their encased orchard and I breathe a breath of fresh air... wow, there are pears and apples and peaches! And they too taste delicious!!
Not a big fan of the new iPhone 5 to be honest. Everyone was losing their mind over how big the screen is (GS2 still bigger) and how its alot faster (GS3 faster). In terms of processing speed, its only a little bit faster than the 4S and in all honesty it seems like they've just added minor design upgrades and thrown it into the market.
Apple in itself is a very controlling and dominating company. iHate iTunes because of problems with the constant updates that often came with bugs that required re installation even just for syncing. I personally owned an iPhone 4 for over a year. After getting over "apps", the device became very impractical for me. The dependency of the iphone 4 on iTunes was the nail in the coffin for me. I have been with GS2 for over a year and wouldn't ever go back. Not to mention the new macbooks being DESIGNED TO NOT BE UPGRADABLE. Even typing that seemed silly.
My bro is a die hard apple fan. He has a macbook pro, iPad, Apple TV and has owned every single iPhone version since it was first released on the market and even he was quite turned off by the iPhone 5.
However, while I do despise the company and their corporate strategies, Apple products are definetly great at what they do. They are not, in my opinion however, the dominant product on the market in way, shape or form.

Yes. I do not like Apple.
ok this is going to be fun.
1st.yes screen is bigger for some people that's a bad thing. like me. i had an S3 i sold it because screen is too big. at some point enough is enough. for S4 the screen is going to be 5.0. Galaxy note 2 has 5.3 or 5.5 inches screen why not get that? for me 3.5 was little smaller, but 4.0 is perfect. its not a phone after that its a tablet.
not S3 is not faster then iPhone 5. google benchmark tests between iphone 5 and galaxy s3.
point of minor upgrade. yes the design is the same. its the little stuff you do in that makes it great. anyone here who hates iphone 4 design? anyone? hello anyone? the design is done very well. it the changes you make that count. its the product you using it makes it better. Android might allow you to do better changes than iOS. but the the s3 is pretty bad. it's plastic. Plastic vs Glass and Aluminum? which is better?
Not to mention the new macbooks being** DESIGNED TO NOT BE UPGRADABLE. **What does that even mean?
Oh you mac fan boys! You see an apple on the back of a gadget and you throw your wallets at it.
You're highlighting your own opinion there, and that's fine. My response was for those who used the screen to justify their purchase of new $800AUD phone.
I don't think you realise that the phones used for those tests had the dual core processors and not the quad core ones.
Yes it is a very minor upgrade. Since the only design feature you addressed was the glass and aluminium lets talk about that; all the other iphone models before this had glass and aluminium in its design yet the amount of cracked screens from even the most miniscule falls was just preposterous. Why pay more for material when you don't need to? Good on them that it took 5 shots at it to get an improved fall resistant model. As far as we know. As for the rest of the upgrades, when you compare the upgrades from the iPhone 5 vs iPhone 4, with GS2 and GS3, you are definitely getting WAY more bang for your buck. The iPhone 5 costs LITERALLY twice as much as the GS3. If you can justify paying that much for so little an upgrade, well Apple has certainly won you over. You may have and eat the cake that apple has smeared over your wallet.
Apple was content with users being able to upgrade their ram, open their laptops for a clean with ease even replace the battery once it begins to die. But components of the new macbook have been fused, glued and soldered. The ram is not upgradable. Period. Either fork out the cash for a 16GB RAM macbook or forever hold your silence. The new harddrive is not upgradable either. The display assembly is completely fused, if anything ever gets caught in it and creates a problem you will have to go out and buy a new one (a new macbook...just so we're clear). The battery is now glued to the case which will more than likely be problematic if you ever want to change your battery. Not to mention the design results in the track pad cable being covered by the battery. And now apple has added the pentalobular screws to their macbooks which means even taking off the back cover requires an additional purchase.
Thank you mac fan boy for this chance. Thank you.
Enjoy your iPhone 4.5S, I MEAN iPhone 5.
Edit: Again, I am not against the products. I am against Apple's corporate strategies and evil dictatorship of their products.
Apple owns your product even after you pay for it.
Haha, I actually lol’d at that.
Tho garam cakes ki misaal bhi tho applicable nahin hai na. Or is that the point you were trying to make? That iPhone 5 is not selling cuz its so hot (just like hot cakes don’t sell in the hot weather).
