Ho do you feel the ability to get information from the internet affects our relationships with other?
In the past, passing down information from one generation to the next helped establish bonds. People knew more about what you wondered about. And it was accompanied with wisdom and experience from people we knew and trusted. And those elders felt more engaged and involved in our daily lives.
Now more often than not, if I’m wondering about something, I Google. The ease with which I can do it is awesome, as is the ability to get a variety of answers.
you know. There is an iphone application, which - works thus: You take a pic of the person, and it automatically downloads everything there is about them on the internet.
Either the Internet or any other source of information . It is very important to process this information in your head before you digest it . I don't think so it effects the relationship if you know what sort of information you are getting and enough brain cells to rationalize it .
Sahar In these times it has become hard to establish bonds like olden times.
Aaj kul ki life is running too fast & we all are running in this race & its usually too late when we realize it was all for nothing.
you're right about something being lose in the process. i just cant put it into words yet. lol. but i know what you mean.
like, i can access practice exams for some classes online...but they werent always available...and ppl did well without them... it's not like real studying..idk it's hard to explain, but it's one of my dilemma's :D
Maybe it's a form of culture that's lost. After all, what is culture other than rituals, knowledge, and wisdom passed down amongst a group from one generation to the next. Culture has always been limited by geographics in the past. People living together or near each other tend to form a unique culture. Now information is passed in different ways, and the culture has become so complex it's lost definition.
