Our officials have been meeting regularly to address our shared concerns in the region. The U.S. and Pakistan share a common stance against terrorism, and the importance of working together to negate the common threat of terrorism cannot be overemphasized. Those who continue to indulge in conspiracy theories should realize that it is in the best interests of both nations to see peace prevail throughout the region.

Please feel free to suggest any steps that can be taken to further strengthen our (the U.S. and Pakistan) relationship.

Re: The importance of communication and coordination (US and Pakistan)

Seriously, what is American and Pakistani interest other than WoT or nukes? It isn't like US would approve the FATA / eastern afghanistan free trade region now or america would invest in providing better coal technology to ease Pakistan's energy shortages.

Granted, the CPEC project is being done for china's benefit as well (no 'free lunch' yada yada), but that still brings in the point about why Pakistan would benefit in a regional bloc (hence china and russia) instead of US which has no local interests in the economy of Pakistan. We all know Pakistan isn't the small island in the middle east whose PM gets to insult the US president for fun.

Any thoughts on that? above your pay grade ???
