Well you are right, he was an Ex-CJ .... I agree, even Ifti like VVIP criminals should be given some due respect... And atleast his daughter should have been allowed to go out and take her exams.
His daughter and son were offered police protection to go to schoool every single day by the govt, but the ex-CJ refused this. Obviously using his children as pawns for his political vendetta against Musharraf is not beyond Iftikhar sahib. Plus he was continually asked to vacate the Chief Justice's official residence, and move to his proper home, but again he refused.

You cannot really challenge a judge in Pakistan, because they think they are untouchable. If you dare file any case against any judge, they will have their mobs take to the streets from city to city, threaten to burn down the Supreme Court, physically beat up your opponents and make threats to lock up the judges. After that, their fellow judges scared of the consequences of such threats will throw out any reference filed against you, and never let it even be investigated. Those are the facts, and the reality of trying to question the misdeeds of our judges.

it was funny how on monday when he was released he stayed at home but instead sent his kid to stand on the balcony, this guy is a showpiece.

Yup exactly my point! Was it any place for a young boy to be i.e. being shown off in front crowds of political party jiyalas, and the media like some mascot? No responsible parent , especially one who claims to be a "neutral" Chief Justice would allow his child to be used in a political circus.
