your comments ? would you get the vaccine done on your daughter ? why yes why no ?

Re: The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine

they are recommending the vaccine for boys too now btw..

and to answer your question, i would.

Re: The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine

I think its still early for this vaccine....it was only approved in 2006 and because the vaccine only prevents against a fraction of the types of HPV and because its only effective for 5 years after the last shot, I don't think at this point if I had a child that age I would get it for them

Also receiving the shots does not guarantee that the person will never develop HPV

Re: The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine

There are too many severe side affects .... look into it.

Re: The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine

I wouldn't. Just because we don't have enough data..

Re: The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine

Isn't there more of a risk if you have multiple sexual partners?

Re: The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine

Yup - which is probably another reason I'm not too worried about it..

Re: The human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine
