The Heights of Desperation against the restrictions Islam Puts on it's followers

Rasoolulah:saw: said:

Ad Duniya sijn al Mo’min wa jannat al kaafir

meaning: The world is a prison to a Mo’min and a paradise for a Kaafir

When we see restrctions put by ALLAH on us in our daily lives as such we are in a prison, how do we feel about it? Rebelious? How should we feel about it?

Discuss!

not much room for discussion there, AQ. you've pretty much defined the terms here.

anyhow. its easy to confuse things given our current circumstances. certainly the lives of muslims these days in comparison are pretty abject. this however, is not a positive indication of us being momins, nor should one find solace in this ayat if one finds oneself a complete loser.

we had better days, and in our better days we had a fair share of momins.

As for your topic.

Hadith Qudsi 30:

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said: If My servant likes to meet Me, I like to meet him; and if he dislikes to meet Me, I dislike to meet him. Prophetic explanation of this Sacred Hadith: He who likes to meet Allah, Allah likes to meet him; and he who dislikes to meet Allah, Allah dislikes to meet him. Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Prophet of Allah, is it because of the dislike of death, for all of us dislike death? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: It is not so, but rather it is that when the believer is given news of Allah's mercy, His approval and His Paradise, he likes to meet Allah and Allah likes to meet him; but when the unbeliever is given news of Allah's punishment and His displeasure, he dislikes to meet Allah and Allah dislikes to meet him. It was related by al-Bukhari and Malik. The Prophetic version is related by Muslim.

AQ.

you may find many more worthwhile tasks to direct your Islamic research at.

it might not be your intention, but the fact that you consistently open threads aimed at demonstrating through Quran and Sunnah how people were wrong to barr you from the Cafe / pick on you, it just seems a ridiculously petty use of Ayats. It might even be construed as disrespect, in the sense that you're using them in your quarrels.

Since you are the one who always insists that people have the right to judge others, do you wish to give people the right to think of you as somoene who has no respect for Islamic traditions, and uses them to score points against his online acquaintances?

seems odd that knowing this, people can insist on saying things that take people further away from their religion.

if you know that those weak in eeman will recoil further from it if you say what you do, then why dont you say things that will bring them closer to Him?

all this news of brimstone and hellfire that people here dabble almost exclusively in, what is the object? You can see, from above, that you will never bring people into Islam if you stay on these lines.

Give me the links where i said this ayat is because i was asked such and such in cafe… :smack:

THe only intention to put and share ayaat and ahaadeeth here in this forum is to remind to those who already know or let those who may not be aware of it.. nothing more than that… Amazing is that u recognize what’s been done but beleive me no thread was opened with such intentions… Wallah-O-Alam,

:jazak:

Very wrong… Not every one has right to do so.. I remember saying only people in authority have rights to judge the actions.. while intentions are absolutely judged by only ALLAH!

in that case I stand corrected. just telling you the impression I leave with from threads originated by you.

hm. i guess i got you wrong there too. guess im just having a bad day.
