They used to follow health regimes that either revolved around food , exercise or jari booti’s ..

My grandmother used to give us all sorts of hakeemi things because her father was a hakeem.

Tummy ache…bari elaichi.
Acne…orange peels blended into a paste and then mixed with milk to make a mask or ginger root rubbed on the pimple or almonds crushed into a powder mixed with milk to make a scrub. All of my teenage acne was cleared using her remedies. And even now…if my skin really becomes hopeless…I go back to it.
Digestion…cut up a bit of ginger and have it every single night to aid with digestion

I can’t even remember some of them now…:naak: I wish I had written them down while she was alive.
