A Halal logo at a restaurant or grocery item is always enough for me. Some of my more molvi cousins would start interviewing the guy at the pizza place..‘where’d you get the chicken’, ‘how did you prepare the chicken’, etc. As long as a Muslim tells you it’s halal, it’s halal for you.

yeah usually i look for the HFA approved sign. or the cert. hanging on the wall somewhere.. that should suffice.
