**thr r 4 couples say c1(m1,f1) , c2(m2,f2) , c3(m3,f3) , c4(m4,f4) … they al r standing to the one side of the river and al have to go to the other side … there is only one boat in which at a time max. 2 persons can sit … no female is safe wt any male on either side or on the boat wtout her husband … so the condition should not arise … as for eg. this situation is not allowed ..
S1 = f1,f2,f3,m1,m2 S2 = f4,m3,m4 .
now with this condition find min. no. of trips to cross the river for all of them …
