Any guppies from Gujranwala ?
Just wondering about that special Gujranwala kay ChiRay (male sparrow)
I have heard that they make tikkas of those small teeny weeny birds
and it is considered a speciality.
Have never tried or tasted them myself.
How is it possible to have a tikka made out of something that small ?
yeh it is possible... even the SALAN of such chiras are also yumyyyyyyyyy
though now a days they use some other kind of chiras called DAUGEY (Punjabi) They are a little big than Chiras. But not that much tasty as those of Chiras. Though cheap..... there are many other famous stuff in Gujranwala... like FRIED FISH... yummmmmmmmmy :p
ahhhh i had them! they do indeed bbq it. and they are the tiniest thing ever. the meat's black though. and you can eat them whole. like bones and all. imagine a batair...you know how tiny it is? well those are even tinier.
i took a pic of it...par woh Pakistan main reh gayi. long story, don't ask.
and the black ones are other thing as I stated they were DAUKEY or smthng like that… CHIRA are a lil brownish… just like chicken but a lil more brownish… and Batair are a bit gryish…
Yeah, I've had it too when I went to Gujranwala. I would have thought that it tastes somewhat like chicken but that's not the case. It's a very different and interesting sort of taste. I liked it.
Me from Gujranwala too, though i have spent most of my life abroad.
Chirey have quite a different taste. The tikkay of Gunjranwala are also a speciality but ae usually not made of chirey but "supposedly" of mutton, but no one really knows. 'wink'
