Has anybody seen previews for this movie? It looks bloody scary! I think someone on here had actually posted a link for a Japanese film, which is similar to The Grudge. Anybody remember what I’m talking about?
Anyway, is this film based on that Japanese film?
Scary stuff! I predict many sleepless nights if I watch this flick.

Watch the original Japanese version 'Juon' ,much better. I have seen both. Same director though.
theres a reason why he made this one. I dont know why people wanna watch the originals (ringu and w/e else). Reading the text takes the fun away from the movie.
I wanna see this one btw, but ive seen some bad reviews.
I opened a thread about this movie a few weeks back and nobody responded. 
Anyway, it is based on a Japanese movie that came out a few years back. I am going to watch it next weekend (the new Hollywood version).
Can’t wait to be scared to death and have about a week of sleepless nights.

Man i’m not scared of these things anymore. unlike those morons in the theatre screaming at every scene 
I don’t mind reading the sub titles while watching any foreign movie. Japanese horror movies have that originality which gets lost after making them in English. The directors of Ringu and The Ring were 2 different ones, so there was a huge difference between both movies. But Juon and The Grudge are directed by the same Japanese guy, but still English one is not as good as Juon.
That’s why don’t go to any ghetto theatre next time. 
Go to one in some posh area. They don’t scream that much.

the new gellar movie is out ( girl from buffy the vampire) called the THE GRUDGE ..SO who has this movie on their must see list ?? i heard it got good reviews made more then shark tale in the first week !!! anyone watched it yet ??

Expect more of these asian remakes to come - specifically Audition and The Eye in the next year - both were quality movies in their original versions - while i wish more american directors would try to do something creative themselves - i guess these are better than seeing another halloween clone of teenagers+slow-walking-scaryguy. 30 Days of Night is an american made comic adaption that will in all likelyhood make for a very good film - so look out for that one.
I just watched it. It wasn't very scary ... except one scene involving the sister. Other than that, it just wasn't scary and was quite predictable. I found Gothika and The Ring to be far more terrifying. The story was weak and some parts made no sense.
The demon lady wasn't scary at all. In fact, I found myself thinking she was quite pleasant looking for an evil being.
^^ Ring Gothika sucked! I’d give this a :k: over those. This was atleast better than those two! i want to be scared, not excited!
At least those two had a story that made sense ... this one was just stupid and made very little sense. It didn't flow at all.
I finally went to see this movie, omg I had like 10 thousand heart attacks, I found it scary. I didn't like the plot but overall the movie was not that bad.

i didnt like it..me and my friend just laughed and talked through it..noone cared..cuz the theater was full of people making out anyways
