The greatest FAST bowler of alltime!

Forget McGrath, Lillie, Hadlee, Imran Khan and co-the finest and most amazing paceman ever to grace a crcket field is CEL AMBROSE!

Any one who watched this genius bowl in the middle 90’s will know what I am on about. His demolition of ALL sides was unparalelled, and he had it all. Not just pace like Waqar, even in his twilight years he was the first name on a team list-even for a world X1.

His molestation of England for 46 in 1994 is the best bowling I’ve ever seen, and he is also the destroyer of Australia day in-day out.

Hurricane Curtly is the king!

he is the Biggest Joke

very true....

I remember, during the early 90s...when Waqar was at the peak of his career, he was always a given a tough competition by Ambrose for the no.1 baller spot in the rankings.

Hard to pick any one. But i suppose Holding, Lillee, and even Wasim shd be up there.

walsh N Wasim

You said all-time, not the 90s. Did you ever see the above three perform when they were at their best?

Dennis Lilee - He would have been the first one to take 400 wickets had he not wasted his time in the packer circus.

I would go for Malcom Marshall. He wasnt tall as other fast boalwers are but with his short height he used to frighten up the greatest of batsmen. His wicket taking ability was un paralelled. His strike rate of 46 is the proof of that. :k:

I have seen a good cut of Imran on tape and PTV cricket specials ect, Hadlee-not much, going mostly by rep, and Lillee a fair amount on the Ashes Gold segment they have had over the last few years.

Wasim Akram - He posed challenge to greatest batsmen in a consistent manner.

yeah fun guy, he surely is the greates left aram bowler ever produced.

Akram is the finest LA bowler ever.

If you are considering the height then consider M. Holding he was short and most of his wickets were clean bowled or LBW.

Never saw Lillee or Holding, but Ambrose was definitley up there. Marshall, Hadlee, Wasim and Imran also deserve to be mentioned in the same breath. If anybody was the greatest it was Imran because when the team needed a wicket he usually produced it. If he got hit for 4 the next ball was usually over and out :hehe:

No batsman ever came out on top against Imran when he wa at his peak. Not many bowlers did either.

Holding AND sHORT .. :(

Courtney Walsh and Wasim Akram. In my opinion, probably the toughest bowlers batsmen have ever had to face for a consistently long time.

I would put Ambrose and Hadlee a close second simply because of the Walsh and Wasim's higher consistency over these two guys.

As far as performance at a bowler's peak, probably noone can outclass the Waqar in rythm of the early 90's.

defiantely ambrose was in a league of his own. he could win a game for his team all by himself. :k:

wasim akram....
and u dont even need to debate the issue....
