The future of Cricket belongs to England.

The future of Cricket belongs to England. The true character of a team is judged in tough times and England has shown time after time that it possesses all weapons of a champion team. Just like Australia, England has also shown the killer’s instinct on numerous occasions in last 2 years…remember when Nasir Hussain scored a century in his last test match 6 months ago against NZ at Lords chasing almost 300 runs in fourth innings…every body was thinking that England would lose the match but they won it quite comfortably in the end……then England was forced to follow-on by WI in the fourth test match in WI ( the test match in which Lara scored 400) but the Englishmen batted superbly in the second innings to avoid the defeat…. And now in SA, England was down by 200 runs after completion of the first innings but they batted heroically in the second innings to set SA a target of 379 to win……

And all this makes the upcoming Ashes series in England to be one of the most anticipated Ashes for a long time. I predict that England will win the ashes this time and arrogant aussies will come back home licking their wounds.

As much as I would love a team to give the Aussies a taste of it's own medicine I am afraid England is still not well equiped in the bowling department to challenge the Aussies to their fullest. ENgland may have won 8 tests in 04 but keep in mind they were against mediocre test teams such as Kiwis and the Windies. Having said that, England is the second best test team at present and the fact that the Ashes is in England it may well be an interesting one.

England unit is really performing well, and they have full potential to beat Aussies in near future.

Funguy, I think they might have the bowling! But the batting can be a bit iffy. It will be a competitive series though, but Australia at the moment are too good for them.
