The "fun" parent

Is it important for kids to atleast have one “fun” parent?

Is beneficial for kids that one parent is the one that disciplines and the other one is a bit more approachable - The one that would let you ditch a class to buy concert tickets or bend the rules a little bit.

Re: The “fun” parent

I think so… I want to be the fun parent :hehe:

Re: The "fun" parent

kinda sucks if you're the boring parent then, isn't it? :p
i'd like it to be even, if possible. is it possible?

Re: The “fun” parent

I think my hubby is more fun than I am, but I’m a perfectly balanced mother :snooty:. Yes SGC, it is possible :jhanda:

You have to let them break the rules sometimes, let them go wild at the carnival, play on the street, dig the mud for earthworms, and put stains on their new clothes . You also need to take time to sit with them for some board games, do journals with your daughter, gossip, BUT, you also have to know when to give them that dreaded evil look when they are slipping! It’s an art. I guess my kids will tell me how I did when they grow up :naak:!
