That got me wondering how often others receive useful emails (barring the spam and forwards) on a weekly basis.
Personally I hardly receive any useful emails. I'd say I perhaps receive 5-10 useful emails per month. The remainder is either spam or forwards.
I mainly keep in touch with others via IM or SMS.
Assalam O Aalaikom sister,
How are you? In my opinion, gmail.com is the best email ever which can be also runned on to msn messenger with 2.5 GB of space and no spaming. We get only useful emails. In case, if we get any useless emails, we are welcome to block their addresses in order to not receiving those emails.
I was inquiring about the number of useful emails received on average, and not how to deal with forwards/spam. :)
Gizzy, I agree email isn't quite the means used to keep in touch by many of us. I suppose most of us receive and deal with work-related emails, which often need to be saved for future reference.
With the advent of VOIP, I'm noticing people are calling each other more and text messaging (although this bit isn't tied in with VOIP) than emailing.
I get and send useful emails regularly to /from friends. and i get back to those who blindly forward emails without checking its credibility. am not SMS / chat freak. I usually send emails and avoid using chat lingo
