The Fly and a helpless King
Salam-a-lekum,
An eye-opener from Islamic History:
It was an Abbasid court, with all the splendor. Mansoor was the King. Just as Mansoor was attending the business to state, a small fly sat on his nose. With a wave of his hand, he whisked it off. But the fly sat on his nose again. This continued till at last Mansoor felt greatly disturbed.
Turning to Imam Jafer as Sadiq, alayhis salaam, who was present that day, he said: O Son of the Prophet, peace be upon him, can you tell me why Allah created these lousy flies?
“Yes”, the Imam, said: “So that the mighty and the proud are rendered humble and helpless.”
I beg to challange the story teller that this story is concocted. Not because of the moral or message it is alluding to. That offcourse, is very impressive. But Imam Ja’afar Sadiq was known to be a very dervesh and he refused to attend the meeting of the kings and secondly and more importantly, Imam Ja’afar Sadiq, died much before King Mansour.
King Mansor, whose full name was Abu Jaafar Mansor, took over after the death of Safah. Although, the founder of the Khilafat e Abbasiya was Safah, but Abu Jaafar Mansour is known to have strengthen to considerable extent. His rein spaned over 21 years, from 753 to 774. He was travelling for Haj and died on the way. It is said that nearly 100 graves were dug for him and he was secretly buried in one of them. This was done as Banu Umayas had a bad of habit of digging the corps from the graves and burning the dead body, because od their enmity. Mansor was agreat speaker.
Although the exact date of the death of Imam Ja’afar Sadiq is not known, but historian have qouted that it was before 753.
I mean some people just add the personalities to various stories, not realising what kind of backlash it might creat!
Mr. baykhatr, do you have a personal enmity against humble? I was jUSt wondering because you always oppose him without making much sense brother. I am new here and checked several of your non-sensical posts where all you are trying is oppose Humble for no reason. Just wondering!!!
No FarooqA, I have no personal enmity with anyone here. My point is that people change the context sometimes and sometime they add characters to the stories to meet their perpetual agenda.
I am a student of Islamic history and know very well that the story narrated hereabove actualy involves Khalifa Mansour and Mautasim Billah, who lived in same times. But just to show one's appreciation, some shia person have expunged the name of Muatasim Billah and inserted Imam Jaafar Sadiq, ra. But such acts which are obviously to distort the history are bound to cause embarracement when the truth is revealed.
None of you people have actualy looked at the technical points I am trying to raise, instead you are saying that I have personal enmity with whoever!!
Had I had personal enmity with anyone, I would have abused him/her, or called him names. Why dont anyone challenge me on the points I have raised.
What points have you raised here Baykhatr?
No. None. I dont see any valid points raised by you. On the other hand this other guy is giving valid arguments one after another.
Which madarasah are you attached with?
Read Islamic history with its full context, then you will understand. Read books by sheikhs and ulemas of Jama-Al-azhar. That is the biggest source we have. Once you have enough knowledge, then come here and argue with these people. I dont like some of the things shias do like mataam in muharram, but that does not mean that you start fighting with them. Their faith is with them, and our faith is with us.
I read all of your recent posts and observed that you oppose Humble guy for the sake of opposing. Most of your posts are irrelavent.
Whenever you ask a question, wait for the answer. This is a decent and sophisticated way!
