Being assertive and being egoistic what is the difference ?
Egotistic means that your demands and actions come at the expense of the other person’s rights. Egoism is all about me, me, me, myself, and I. There is no room at all for the other person’s feelings, time, limitations, or rights to be considered.
I think that all egoistic behavior is assertive. But not all assertive behavior is egoistic. Does that make sense?
When assertive behavior goes too too far, it can easily become egoistic.
Being assertive is like having no or zero tolerance but in a respectful as well as aggressive way.. like having a firm stance for certain things.. but ego don’t offers politeness at all, an egoistic person always tries to humiliate others and never listens to whatever they say.. he/she holds his/her position for their beliefs/midsets whether logical or illogical..

*Many are guilty of buying into the common misconception that ego and confidence are essentially the same thing. They equate both with a brazen attitude that?s seemingly unflappable under pressure. It?s even been said that taking on such an attitude at work will get you ahead in your career.
The reality, however, is that these two concepts are quite different. To have confidence is to have faith in your own abilities and believe in yourself, but the ego is something else, entirely. Unlike confidence, the ego operates out of self-interest. It seeks approval, accolades and validation at all costs in order to be seen as ?right?. It is resistant to feedback and assigns motive where there isn?t any.*
