As Pakistan in a thrilling fashion have managed to level this series 2-2…this time SA couldn’t escape like the 3rd ODI…Congrats and :jhanda:

PS: I hope…by now Pakistan might have learned a lot about the current SA squad, their tactics to get Razzaq & Afridi out…throwing away wickets and suicidal runouts are not productive us to win this series…InshAllah the Series win should be coming up… :jhanda: :slight_smile:

yep lesson for them and area for Pak to correct is RUNNING with good calling and Afridi…well he is an enigma…

I think…Pakistan should avoid unnecessary self-created panic situations…thus avoiding runouts…lots of runouts on this tour…lol…should try to bat in a cool and balanced way… :jhanda: :slight_smile:

I would:

  • kick out Farhat
  • open with Younis and Hafeez
  • play either Yousuf or Umar Akmal (not sure how serious their injuries are)

^^ That is the sole reason you are not selector... Farhat is good husband and extremely obedient son in law, how come man of such character can be kicked out of the team.. you should learn from him...

or even open with Afridi (less likely to hole out in the deep when the field is closed in) and Hafeez to make full use of the opening overs and 1st pp

Even if Farhat was a great batsman, his confidence is very low. The board should see it and sit him out. Misfielding, dropped catch, low score..what more do we want to see? Umar Akmal should open the innings instead

Few comments on others

  • Zulqarnain is a good fighter but his wicketkeeping is below par.
  • Shoaib Akhtar's fielding was just abysmal. There is more to cricket than fast bowling. Not sure if he will be around for WC. (backup plan, anyone?)
  • Looks like SA have found a counter for Razzaq in short pitch bowling.
  • Good to see Younis showing the way..he is not playing extraordinay cricket..just common sense. Hafiz and Asad should try to stay at the wicket as well.

opening .....
must be with shahzeb and hafeez ...... ballistic young and influential
midlle order .....
younis, asad, misbah ..... younis calmness can help asad grooming .... and for misbah better thn fawad
boom boom and bang bang .........
both boom boom and bang bang can thrash any opponent but their position should be flexible
followers..........
zulqarnain, riaz, abdulrehman and shoaib akhtar ......... rest ajmal he will be back with bang in tests

Pakistan leveled the series against england as well, but lost the final easily... the current pcb board is all set to bring cricket down in Pakistan...i'll be surprised if BUTT sahib won't call afridi and threat the whole team to be fired if did even try to win the match...

Shahzaib is tried and tested failure i would being umar in and make younis do the opening coz he would be coming in the 1st over too if farhat plays

inclusion of umar will strengthen the middle order

I think the current team would be fine…its not the changing of players everytime…its the mindset and the attitude towards playing good and competitive cricket… :jhanda:

Cmo’n Pakistan…every batsman should try to make at least 30-40 runs and the lower order should try to make at least around 15 runs…every Pakistan bowler should try to take 2 wickets at least…the team work… :slight_smile:

really Shahzeb can prove better than Farhat since he can atleast attack - he just needs to judge the ball a bit better before going all out...
and yes the rest should not be changed since it will keep the team together and keep the momentum going....
