I've been reading Fantasy books all my life and I can tell you that there are way better books out there than Harry Potter. Harry Potter is a fad been blown out of proportion.
The Lord of the Rings is a masterpiece and the movie lives up to it (hopefully the next two will also). People unfortunately don't have enuff intelligence to diffrentiate between true literature and the run-of-the mill crap that non-talented authors churn out.

I totally agree with you PyariCgudia....there was so much of hard work put into this movie.....like every scene of this movie is prove of that.

Well I saw it yesterday(not on the big screen)...
Overall, I wouldn't say it was a GREAT movie. I think it was a good movie, but then again, I'm not a LOTR buff. I enjoy fantasy and sci-fi stuff more than most people I know, but I couldn't entirely get into the movie. I think that I would have enjoyed it much more had I already known the story and all of the characters.
I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it, either.
I think that the whole reason this movie is doing so extremely well is because of the fact that it brings an extremely popular book to life.

ASN you should see it on BIG SCREEN it makes a whole lot a difference. Especially such kinda movies. I saw it on VCD as well and it was hardly enjoyable.
