The father of a nation

Jinnah was a Shi’ite.

Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born at Karachi on December 25, 1876. His father, Jinnah Poonja, belonged to a prosperous business community, Isma’ili Khojas of Kathiawar.

I’d forgotten this, until another thread refreshed my memory.

So what’s the Shia-Sunni conflict we all partake in, all about again??

Jinnah was a Shyte? No wonder.

He was not shia, there is a difference in Ismailis and Shias. Shias, I think are better than Ismailis.

Well, the conflict is mainly of a religious nature, while Jinnah was a political leader. Besides, do you really expect the people to stop bickering about this kind of thing because of Jinnah? An admirable man though he was and is. But, when people wouldn't learn the lesson of tolerance for the sake of what Allah and his prophet (p.b.u.h) say. Why would they do so for the sake of Jinnah? When he is a far more controversial personality himself. No kinds of conflicts ever make any sense though.

Ana,

Stop readin' journalists views.

does it really matter, what Jinah was and was not.
He did his work, gave us a great country. I care less who he was... I care more about what he did.
