I’d be interested to know what evidence there is out there regarding the fate of Muslims who are killed unjustly.
For example, Saudi Arabia successfully limits the contamination of its population with drugs through a rigidly enforced policy of executing anyone found bringing drugs into the country.
However, many people who are executed maintain until they die that they were unaware that they were carrying the drugs, either because they agreed to carry items for others without knowing they contained drugs, or because they claimed that someone had slipped the drugs into their luggage whilst they were not looking.
So, are there any Quranic Ayats, Hadiths, or failing that, juristic verdicts from the ulema regarding the fate in the afterlife life of one who experiences the following?
A man is travelling to Saudi Arabia. At the airport, before customs, someone slips a packet of cocaine into his hand baggage, with the intention of reaching in after customs and recovering the drugs. At customs, however, the drugs are found in the man’s hand baggage, and he is arrested. He is found guilty of drug smuggling, and executed thereafter.
Would the man receive any form of recompense in the hereafter for his unjust killing?
