Hindustan Motors Ambassador has finally stopped production of Ambassador vehicles after 50 plus years. Time had come to a standstill for this car which was based on a 1950s British design.

everything swadeshi [made in the country] philosophy helped India build it’s industrial base. now, they make everything from sewing needles to tanks to locomotives to heavy duty trucks. everyone had to sacrifice to reach to this self sufficiency.

Speaking of Swades, when we saw the movie, the wife pronounced it as one would Spades.
