The Farmer and His Pumpkin Garden

There was this farmer who used to cultivate watermelons in his field. He gets a fair yield too.
Now he has one trouble, the neighbor kids. They steal a lot of watermelons. And the poor farmer wasn’t able to prevent this.
So he thought of an idea, (assuming, he was a clever fellow) and put on a note in his field, which read ‘One of these melons in this field has been injected wit rat poison.’
The kids saw this note, and went mad. The farmer saw thru his window, the kids scribbling somethin on the board and walked away upset.
The farmer was curious what these kids wrote, so he went off to the field and looked in the board. It read ‘Now there are two..!’
