Meth eats away at brain tissue, accelerates blood pressure, creates psychosis, and causes the body to overheat. Teeth fall out. The body stops craving food and only wants the drug! Nonetheless, millions of people (as young as 12 years old) around the world are abusing this drug everyday.

^ It's because they feel, and most of the times actually believe, there are bugs underneath their skin and feel the need to scratch themselves to get rid of that feeling.

Aren't drugs supposed to make you feel good. I mean, people take heroin and stuff to get high. Why would someone take a drug that actually made them feel bad?

True, but try comparing it to a smoker. Smoking a cigarette makes a smoker feel good, but at the same he's working on the development of a nasty smoker's cough, and they get short breath day by day. This doesn't bother a smoker much, because smoking still feels good.

meth users are prone to frequent skin infections and abscesses for two reasons:
1: Needles. Any sort of a skin breach (skin is our natural protection/barrier against infection) opens a person up to potential infection. Now imagine that needle being used by numerous meth buddies at a meth party .....
2: the neurotic skin excoriations: again dirty hands/dirty nails picking picking picking away at skin is like extending a gold lined invitations to the bugs to invade the tissue.

Yeaa..it is so sad...I remember I watched a documentary once...it showed all these addicts..who just want nothing else except the drug..and Meth is also way cheaper than other drugs and also more harmful than others :(

only on the first attempt people feel good. after that slope of happiness gets slippery and goes down but they keep taking it and get addictive in the hope that things get better, but they never.
