How many of you have them?
Serve it to your famillies?
tello tello. No shame..
Personally I find them good for “emergencies”..i.e., when ure too tired to cook anything and dont wanna go out..My husband hates them b/c they taste blah (i agree) and the portions are way too small. (agree… even if its one of those “healthY” frozen meals )
I always end up adding something…and cannto eat it alone…
I don't know if I have any frozen meals in the freezer that I haven't actually cooked and frozen myself. I do however have fish fingers, fish cakes, potato waffles etc in the freezer though.
I also love Linda McCartney Lasgne-which comes frozen.
Personally, I don't see a major problem with them as long as they are consumed in moderation.
me and hubby don't care for frozen foods so normally we end up going out to eat if nothing is cooked that day. I do like to have frozen desserts at home for emergencies and for myself.
nopse never bought forzen meals.. 1. they are too expensive for their portion and taste 2. If I am not in mood of cooking, I am not in mood of heating/defrosting either.. it's a pizza night then!

Yea....that may be. Even on sale (no less than $2)....the portions are tiny and honestly i know i can make better...I just dont feel like it :D
the only thing i think they're good for is portion control...esp if ur used to eating larger portions and want to eat healthier.
I do get my inspiration from alot of them...b/c htey sound so yummy (ravioli w squash and zucchini/quinoa w grilled chicken..mmm!)
Simple wali nuggets ... like I cut the chicken breast pieces , marinate them in the sauces and spices I want ..like some just with salt and pepper , some with tikka masala..some with dried herbs and spices ... dont add the yoghurt to the marination .. just roll the pieces in the spices and keep in the fridge for a few hours ...
Then I grill them to almost 95% ... let them cool... finally beat an egg and keep aside ... keep some bread crumbs aside as well ... and some maida
Just roll them in the egg , then the maida , then the egg again and finally the breadcrumbs and let them freeze.
When i need them out , I just shallow fry them or deep fry them for a few seconds or put them back in the grill for a few minutes and they are done :@:
GTG..sorry i laughed out loud when u said when UR not in the mood to cook. lol.
on the rare occasion i would buy those halal pizza with pepporoni for late night snacking.
otherwise i would freeze stuff i made...its a lot easier. whenever i have left over chicken karai/salan, i would freeze it, and whenever i have the mood for biryani, i would use that frozen chicken salan, add some more masala, thicken it and use that for the biryani base. saves me time.
i do have some of those lipton sidedishes. those come in handy when i dont feel like cooking anything desi but lazy to cook anythign else.
I dont buy frozen food and store,if its homemade leftovers if it eaten within a day or two with a lot of grumbling ,but I always have marinated fish and chicken for a rainy day.
frozen ood is definately for emergrncies .... wen i cant b bothered jus chuk sumink in the oil .... hehehe ..... mostly its my mums home made samose or spring rolls
