The Expiring Milk Problem

Re: The Expiring Milk Problem

bacteria makes the milk go bad. if you add fresh milk to it, the bacteria will have more food to flourish, and will make the new milk go bad too.

bad bacteria :nono4:

Re: The Expiring Milk Problem

right on sister khumar! I think you’re right about the bad bacteria being mixed into the newly opened milk.

Re: The Expiring Milk Problem

I say drink that milk and then eat some royee. you know royee ? good. That royee will soak the milk and stop the milk from doing any harm to your tiD.

Re: The Expiring Milk Problem

Two tips for you:1. If you want to make milk last couple days longer, boil the milk when you first buy it. Then cool and store in refrigerator.2. The milk which has already gone bad, boil it and add 2 drops of lemon juice. Sieve this and Makes paneer.Have absolutely no idea why I am telling you all this cos I know you wont do it :)Once again why is this in science & philosophy?

Re: The Expiring Milk Problem

yaaaar

aly-sam why do you underestimate me? the milk expiring doesnt hurt as much as people thinking they know me so well :/

tariqlkhan.. im a scientist.. it is in my nature to question and wonder

khumar.. i think you are right thats probably what would have happened

Re: The Expiring Milk Problem

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that you are a ‘Burger’. And burgers dont ponder much about ‘improvising’ rather they tend to ‘capitalize’. ref. use of new milk to castigate old milk :chai:

Re: The Expiring Milk Problem

stop being so cheap and throw the expired milk away...!

Re: The Expiring Milk Problem

He he …you said it well enough Code Red.

Re: The Expiring Milk Problem

This is how you make yogurt.. you add a little bit of bad milk (i.e. yogurt) to a pot of milk and it all goes bad..i.e. you get yogurt. razage, i thought you'd know a simple thing like that.

waise. if you want to find out if the milk has really gone bad, you just take a little bit in a cup and microwave it.. if it curdles.. then it's confirmed.

Re: The Expiring Milk Problem

Eeek! Thats definetly not the way I make yoghurt.

PS Ravage Is the milk carton still in your fridge :)

Re: The Expiring Milk Problem

i say u make tea out of it! heat kills all bacteria and u'll be glad u put that last bit to good use! besides heating/warming up is like pasteurizing so it won't hurt it.

Re: The Expiring Milk Problem

Peace ravage

Some guppies here are totally right.

Bad milk will spread furiously in good milk making it go bad too. However, it if it is not bad yet then you can heat the milk until just before boiling and this will make it last another 3 or 4 days.

Putting lemon juice in it or yoghurt will curdle the milk and it will separate out in to curd and whey. Drain the whey and gather the curd and sqeeze out the remaining liquid to make the paneer last for an extra week or so. You can buy food preservative and that will make it last may be up to 14 days in the fridge in an air tight container.

Do not make yoghurt by mixing with bad milk that is not a good idea. Bad milk contains harmful bacteria and yoghurt contains friendly bacteria.

If however someone has got very strong constipation then I found the best cure to this is to heat some milk and add to it bad smelly off milk. Drinking that down will open up anyones blockages ... it is like caustic soda for the intestinal system!

Re: The Expiring Milk Problem

I wasn't saying or suggesting that yogurt be made out of milk gone bad.. but the basic concept is the same. :-)
