The Indian leg of Hurley’s marathon wedding - she married in Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire last Friday - is now in full tilt, with a Hindu ceremony expected to take place this Friday at Hotel Umaid Bhawan Palace at Jodhpur.
Mr Nayar, 42, a textile heir, is to arrive at the ceremony on a white horse, accompanied by guests on camels and elephants.
If that’s not enough - and clearly it isn’t - a special cricket match is planned with the Hurley family taking on the Nayars.
Who gets former Pakistan captain Khan on their side, is likely to be crucial to its outcome.
Recently, a star-studded black tie event hosted by Parmeshwar Godrej in honour of Hurley and Arun Nayar saw the who’s who of the city’s party circuit attending the bash held at her seaside bungalow in Mumbai.
A posse of mediapersons and curious onlookers crowded around the sprawling Godrej bungalow in suburban Juhu, hoping to catch a glimpse of British supermodel Hurley, as well as other celebrities on the evening of March 6.
Among those who attended the event were UB Group chairman Vijay Mallya, cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri, industrialist Kumarmangalam Birla and actress Shilpa Shetty.
Not to forget, Hurley has chosen Indian designer Tarun Tahiliani to create her pink wedding sari - the same designer who created Jemima’s outfit when she married Khan. agencies
