The enimies of Pashtuns series #1

FWDs contianing some thought provoking INFO. Thought I should share it.

There are many who without rhyme or reason would say that Pashtuns are tribal and instinctively insular to the world and that is their down fall and this is simply nonsense. God’s greatest and numerous messengers were part of tribes just like we are. Tribalism is nothing to be ashamed of and do the same fools know that only tribalism has the potential for true democracy and universal justice and natural altruism. There were no elections or razzle dazzle like we have today when Hazrat Muhammad PBUH was Khalifa or his noble companions. The secret ingredient was good leadership and strong authority but always coupled with justice and compassion, and this is absent today in the Muslim World. It is also true that the same tribal society of Hazrat Muhammad PBUH ruled the world with that democracy.

Today’s leaders in the Muslim World and in our Pashtun lands also give lots of authoritarian sound bites and even use Islam for their profane poliitics but lack that charisma for goodness. Look at the Arab regimes, and Arabs are also tribal people but that tribal system which can be a beacon to the world is missing. We must not blame our tribal system for our lack of power nor should the people of Arabia. Good leadership is fundamental if we are to survive in the modern world but if we want it then we must in earnest look at the need to serve instead of the politics of the West or the present state of political life in Muslim countries.

Service, consultation or refendum, selfless compassion, impartiality, are some of the ingredients for good leadership and good citivenry. Some are asking why our youngsters are so angry and alienated today and that they should not be that way. And to them I give this stern anwer which is they’re not blameworthy but those who lead them and frustrate them in every way are ultimately at blame. And outside interference is also at blame. There have always been imperial powers of the world which have thwarted people’s legitimate goals and rights in vain. America even today trains and funds the Philipine and Thai armies to have a foothold in those poor states and have some stooges there. But if people’s democracy is seriously threatened they can always and they do resort to violence.

I may have muddled my argument abit but the mesage is clear for the Pashtuns and even non tribal societies. Selfless service to one’s community and the need to serve is the biggest problem for everyone. The problem is that those who want to serve often get to office and then become self seekers and selfish and nepotistic or just become corrupt. Pashtuns need to be servers in earnest to their communities in the coming times and age. Democracy is not just about voting, theatre, good rhetoric, sound bites and the like nor was it in ancient times. It is about mixing authority and justice, reason and compassion, humility, consultation, and strong law and order and a fair legal system.

The Pashtuns can keep and I say even treasure their tribal system but they must attain those values. If they have to fight to get them then they should go and fight for them because they cannot sit idle and do nothing. There are many hurdles in their way of which foreign imperialism and the Problem of Pakistan are just two. But for a start we must become true servers of our communities instead of weakeners of them. I personally would propose a Pashtune Volunteer Force. Not for offensive reasons but for defensive reasons to get our rights by force where we have to. But we must learn to serve our communities first and not be self seekers or be amongst self seekers. This is not a hard thing. In some states to qualify for citizenship one has to spend some time in the armed forces and serve but here I mean for a start political service.

The Problem Of Service /Continued

In Pakistan our leaders have bankrupted because the God Damn fools were’nt servers but self seekers and this is the case even today. Service of one’s community will in the future be a clear marker between the nations and those who can serve their communities in truth and earnest will be successful and will have sincere leaderships and those that fail in this endeavour will fail and collapse as societies. My central point here again is that because we are tribals we should’nt succumb to corruption and ill service to our communities like others. We instead should be more upright, and our leaders and members who serve us should be fair and listen to our problems and grievancies.

In the beginning of Islam the great Khalifs consulted people one by one and served, today that is impossible in big population and urban areas with millions of people but today we have many ways to collect referenda and minor polls. On the Internet populations of any size can vote and put their views or the dominant opinion across for those who serve us. Self seeking and corruption are diseases which must be tackled urgently whether we are advanced or behind in other areas. Service of our communities is such a basic and fundamental issue of our future.

Dissent, Freedom And Dialogue

My next topic for the future is the problem of dissent, freedom to speak and have a meaningful dialogue. Without some dissent no society can be democratic or claim to be just. In the beginning of Islam there was dissent on issues and projects and there was consultation and resolution respectively. Today in Pakistan and elsewhere in the Muslim World one has to be completely silent and alway pliant to what leaders and representatives can throw at them. This is shameful and I will here say it is not going to last. In such a situation leaders can kill, torture, maim and really hurt people and it is couterproductive in the long and short runs.

Dissent, and even proper useful dissent is wickedly suppressed and while this goes on the leaders create their domination and political dynasties and it thus becomes a vicious self perpetuating cycle. It is a mark of justice to have some dissent, freedom and dialogue. The Pashtuns have nothing to worry because they are not dictators or evil and cruel monarchs any way in the world but those who lead people without any respect have much to worry about. The Gulf Sheikhdoms and the Saudi and other despotic royal families as well as Pakistan’s military leaders have much to worry about.

Dissent is good but it must be legitimate or within limits. For example a person cannot fight and dissent with the majority over the prohibition of heroin or laws against lewdness etc. But he can dissent over issues like mega projects and bylaws etc. All leaderships which spurn dissent with an iron fist or with cunning but painful measures have problems with natural democracy, reality and justice and are inherently corrupt. Pashtuns and others must learn to accept dissent and respect others and this is not asking much but if they do not then they must understand that they are the ones who are the trouble makers and war mongers.

Dissent in no way threatens our tribal value or customs because all legitimate and lawfull dissent is vital and useful to a surer and better democracy and justice. It is also dangerous to live on the wish and wim of dictatorial leaders and elders. It is in lawful dissent that the real key to democracy and fair play lies and our leaders and representatives must never at any time spurn and or discourage dissent.

Pashtunistan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Which Way?

Pashtun arguments for a seperate autonomous state arise out of genuine grievancies and problems within the state of Pakistan and those grievancies and problems are irreconcilable within the current situation of Pakistan and its status quo. If there were greater unity amongst Pashtuns and a stronger demand for their rights then this would today be a spent issue, but because of Pashtun plight today in Pakistan there is no need for total unity. Total unity will take care of itself. Support for the complete concept arise not just out of nationalism and chauvinisim but the threat that Pakistan poses to our way of life, our language culture and values. The state of Pakistan even in this day and age refuses to listen to us or understand our problems and this failure is like fuel for fire. Any criticisim or free speech is violently suppressed by the state even when perfectly legitimate and useful to it.

For the bulk of Pashtun society it is becoming self defeating to support the state or even speak in positive tone about them. I recently asked a Panjabi friend about the military rule of Musharraf and he said he is the best option for Pakistan and we need strong allies like America and all his policies are in line with our national interest. He said nothing of the hostile policies of Musharraf towards the Pashtun. Any Pashtun friend would seldom say something similar and this is because Pakistani army and establishment are all dominated by Panjab. Pashtuns are not very economically competitive and so Panjabis make the killing in every thing.

There are some who support Pakistan amongst Pastuns unconditionally but there have vested interests and care less for their fellows. The concept of Pashtunistan is in no way a threat to Pakistan as some so called Pak Patriots spell out. It is on the contrary for the good and justice of Pashtuns that they should be given some freedom to run their own affairs. There are strong cases on many arguments for Pashtun autonomy , a real autonomy and not just a cloned Islamabad Assembly in our region. If we are to get any autonomy then it must not just be another bureaucracy like the present but hold Pashtun interests at heart. It must have economic, legal foreign affairs and defence powers. Only and only then can we have a proper brotherhood with all the other provinces and the present federal system is the biggest breeder of hatred and resentment amongst the provinces.

All the cases for Pashtun autonomy and freedom are strong and clear and resolute and there are many but I wo'nt go into them all. The fundamental argument or basic argument of them all is that Pashtuns can say that Pakistan is for Panjabi people and it does not have to serve us because it has'nt in all its chequered history. They are a different entity altogether and it is unbefitting for them as Pashtuns to remain in the present status quo. Every people has a right to self determination and we want Pashtunistan because we want it and need it and we do not need Pakistan.

Many intellectual including Alama Iqbal were aware that the Pashtuns would have problems within the framework of Pakistan and that Pakistan must do more for them because the life and death of the state of Pakistan would clearly depend greatly on the loyalty and or rebellion of Pashtuns and this warning has not in the least been heeded by any Pakistani government because it has shamelessly and carelessly used Pashtuns throughout its history and continues to do so and then blames them for every thing wrong with the failing state.

There are some who not only unconditionally accept Pakistan amongst our people but preach to us to forget Afghanistan and to such fools the answer is this: Whether a Pashtun lives in Karachi or New York or for that matter on Mars, we cannot forget Afghanistan and we do not just have a special relation with that nation and all its people but we owe them our culture, our languages and complete way of life. It is beyond belief for Pashtuns to say lets forget Afghanistan. Whether we say we are Pakistani or whether we say we are Pashtuns we cannot and must not make disparaging remarks about Afghans. And yes Afghanistan has had more than its fair share of problems but that is not the fault of the Afghan people it is imperialism and ill meaning neighbours.

Comment on the FWD#

Mansur, I have enjoyed your discussion of the Pakhtoon future. And I agree with you that the so-called broad-minded Pakhtoons bashing Pakhtoons for being isolationist rather than interactionist are "Pathan servants" of Pakistan's Punjab Army or "Pathan" employees of Pakistan's Punjabi-Muhajir civil bureaucracy. They are actually self-seekers. They are collaborators of Paunjab's colonial state apparatus.

Our deadliest enemies are such Pakhtoons serving Punjab. The like of them are Sherpao, Saifullahs, General Babar, etc.

Anyway, my question is, what is your concept of Pakhtoonistan? What would be its boundaries and system?

Moreover, don't you think masses in Muslims in the Muslim countries today face the following three status-quos to secure their freedom.

  1. West-erected International Ploitical System
  2. The regimes and ruling classes in Muslim World acting as lackeys of the West
  3. The irrational or hypocritic religious classes using religion as an instrument of politics and control and allied with regimes and bureaucracies like in Suadi Arabia and Pakistan

Hope you comment.

I thank you for kind response and I agree with you about those Panjabi servants. I have a message for such fools and it is that Pashtuns must make a mark in history and the world and it is time to move on from being static supporters of a failed state to true democracy, justice, universal equity. We owe these to our coming generations and to ourselves. I know for a fact that Pashtuns are much straight, decent and conservative and can do things better than those in the current state of affairs, those stooges of America and stooges of military and slaves of slaves, respectively.

There are people within the establishment, and Panjabis who openly say ''What is the need for Pashtunistan? Pashtuns are not majority in NWFP, or that they are immigrants and belong in Afghanistan. Or that, such a scenario will break up Pakistan. These are just red herrings and do not even reach the surface of our claims and arguments. If some one would like to oppose us on the question of Pashtunistan what would they have to say to such ignorant and self seeking and hypocritical Panjabis and establishment cronies? Such hyperbolic remarks can be gleaned from time to time in the gutter publications of Panjab and their analyses on national issues.

The Pashtun people have been oppressed for long, and now find their language and culture threatened, and they're corrupted, killed, jailed and much troubled by the failings and domination of others. They are used for maximum advantage by Pakistan in the name of Islam and a failed state. In such an atmosphere is it not sensible that some events for Pashtun autonomy and rights over their lands, resources, and way of life without external interference will prop up in the not so distant future. The problem is not Pashtun people but the dying and corrupt state of Pakistan which is a breeding ground for animosities and hatred amongst the provinces. It is the federal system, which like a nagging, selfish guardian takes every thing but gives little back.

So the need for Pashtunistan or some other configuration which will hold Pashtun problems and grievances at heart is and will be the increasing need of the day for our people. This need is not decreasing but on the rise due to Pakistan state policies and actions and ill will toward our people and our way of life. Pashtuns must demand this as of right and gone are the days of Badshah Khan of non violence, because there will be violence and there will be civil war if the state of Pakistan does not listen to us and see sense and does the right things to avert chaos.

The concept of Pashtunistan is the sovereign jurisdiction of all Pashtun lands and areas under a truely democratic Pashtun Assembly or Pashtun Parliament. It will have legal, economic, foreign affairs, and defence powers all in the interest of the Pashtun people. It must as of need function under a Pashtun constitution, and must not make any alliances or pacts with others without a democratic mandate. It can have good relations and cooperation in defence and other important issues with all or some of the other provinces according to the will of the people.

It will have proper responsibilities and it must strive to serve the people, unlike the liqorice allsorts of the present so called Sarhad Assembly which serves Islamabad and others to the detriment of its people. The first stage towards the goal of full independence from the failing state of Pakistan will be the dissolution of the present federal system which other provinces except Panjab are already attacking because it serves the interests of the few and not the many. It is as it were an overbearing guardian.

The dissolution of the failed federal system which is now too old and cannot move on with the times is already happening. The level of dissillusionment with the present state of affairs is truely breathtaking and it has to fail because it is serving no one but itself.

The concept of even limited autonomy which some leaders are already asking for such as the four or so parties of Baluchistan is quickly thwarted by the so called keepers of Pakistan who sanctify the failed state in vain but sooner those sanctifiers of the failed federation will have to give in when the noise level rises in all the provinces.

I firmly believe that peace and respect and wellbeing lies not in the failed federation of yesterday but in greater autonomy for all, respecting their rights over their lands and resources. No one and no federation or any one external must override the wishes of the people. There will never be peace in Pakistan until there is a voice for all and there is alsa an end to domination by a clique class of rulers, all far removed from the people.

A Pashtun Assembly is useful but what could be worser than to get only a name of an Assembly for Pashtuns but which will be a clone of Islamabad just to keep things cool because the ruling clique will become desperate to do something when things get out of hand. The concept of Pashtunistan is that it must be free from all cliques, ie cliqus of the military and cliques of the so called religious classes. There should be respect for religion but not madness for it or madness imposed on our people.

I cannot see why such a concept should be anathema to the supporters of the status quo. It is the only way to bring harmony amongst the provinces of Pakistan and a true revolution to improve their lot.

A year or so ago Musharraf was talking about the need for greater autonomies for all the provinces but there is'nt the will amongst the establishment for such bold ideas. The National Assembly has not discussed any aspects of the need for autonomy for the provinces but instead is discussing issues of harmony amongst the provinces within the present status quo and want no changes to Pakistan.

This again proves that it is a talking shop for old cliques who have their own interests and stakes and care less for others. The time must come that these issues will take a serious hold and then the same cliqus will be unable to to any thing because there will be chaos and things completely out of control of the military, bureaucracies or others.

Media, Press and Publications

The Panjabi dominated federation of Pakistan and its evil tentacles like its ISI service and a much hated army are intent since the creation of the ill fated state of Pakistan to keep all Pashtuns at the back when it comes to having their own national media, press and publications. Whatever private good presses there ever were have always been destroyed by Pakistan's secret agents and the state has never spent a farthing on such useful things. Media and that includes radio and TV do not even exist for Pashtuns. Publications, namely organisiations for publishing books etc., have been nothing but alliances with the centre if ever they existed, and most of them just small private enterprises only.

A people or group which dominates media, press and publications does not have to fight those they want to control and use because they do'nt even have to fight any one as their propaganda does everything for them that they want and wish. In many histories one can see that even religion and minds can be controlled also by those with the keys to media, press and publications. For the last 57 years Pashtuns have been fed nothing but fodder from a pro Panjab and Panjabi dominated media, press and publications.

The federal government with its cosy posy federal system has of course created many more problems than just in media, press and publications but without doubt this is one of the more serious. The lack of any serious voice for our people, our way of life to nationally express ourselves is clearly attributable to the lack of media, press and publications for Pashtuns in their own language and not the so called national language of Pakistan or Urdu. Even if it's Urdu or English etc., the controllers are always others and not Pashtuns any way. Having no media, a national press and publications is a handicap that is the worst of all worlds. A people without papers and books in my serious opinion are a people without faith.

The Panjabi dominated establishment says always that the lack of education in Pashtun society is due to other factors and in general their lack of will to educate themselves, but how can they in all honesty educate themselves when there is such a dearth of three very important and basic feats of learning namely, media, press and publications. The same fools would suggest that what is available in Pakistan also belong to Pashtuns but that is nothing but self gratifying reason picking. How can the media, press and publications of the federation and Panjab serve Pashtuns and be role models for them when they have clearly different needs and requirements.

There is and has alway been fear in the Pakistani establishment that if these three important and basic feats could start in Pashtun society with a national voice and flavour they will be subsersive and could fan nationalism, and this is the case for Baluchistan also, but is that not just silliness at its heights because the alternative, namely no national media, press and publications is nothing but deprivation of the masses and could be even more counterproductive for Pakistan. Any one or thing which does not have praise for Pakistan is seen as subversive and treacherous and is quickly dealt with, by censure and confiscation of assets and other punishments. In the beginning of Pakistan the presses of Badshah Khan were destroyed when he espoused even different opinions to the newborn establishment. So any thing other than praise for Pakistan has to be balanced and fair still to Pakistan's leadership and illegitimate state and if not it risks its own downfall.

Pashtuns are just like any other people and can have their media, presses and publications, even if they have to be completely private but they have to break this glass ceiling which the illegitimate leaders in power have constructed to protect their own failings and other misdemeanors and to stop legitimate free expression and the nurture of education also as a result. The government of Pakistan by taking the stances it has since its creation has diverted Pashtuns from excellence in education and proud expression of their culture.

Instead of the three basic feats Zia gave Pashtuns religious schools and meddling in their affairs both in the frontier and in Afghanistan, pitting Pashtun against Pashtun and Afghan against Afghan, a most shameful and deceitful blunder deliberately to keep Pashtuns at the back from their true potentials in the world. And all of this is what I have already called brain washing the mass of Pashtuns because they do not own medias, presses or publications nor has any stake in any.

Brain washing people in the provinces is the easiest thing for the federal government to keep people in their particular mould and have less of any headaches from their problems. But it is in the long term nothing but very malfull and deceitful conduct and it cannot continue for ever. there are some Pashtuns in name only who would preach to us that all our problems are due to our own faults and we are not educating ourselves or enlightening ourselves and to such fools the answer lies in a nutshell, namely, how can Pashtuns improve themselves when they are denied a national voice in terms of media, press and publications. The birth of all learning lies primarily in the nurture of those basic needs of for any society.

We need our own media press and publications as our own, as role models for every thing in life. The current hodge podges of Radio Pakistan from Peshawar, or the little news and drama from PTV and the complete lack of Pashtun newspapers and the almost dead existing publishing houses are not enough and their existence or death does not even matter, because they are and have always been irrelevant to our greater and truer needs.

Language also matters but primarily Pashtuns must own their own and not be dependent on others for these basic needs. It is then up to Pahtuns to use Pashtu and that is ideal but they can also use English etc. also. The important example is this website, namely it is mostly conducted in English with Pashtu but it is for Pashtuns, and they know that they own it. Pashtuns must do the things that benefit them and stay clear of all things that disbenefits them.

It is clear that we must worry about all federal domination over our language and culture and its influence, all unwanted and needless but just there to silence us into submission to its will, and never what we really need and want. The coming times will surely spell disaster for those who want to stick to the status quo because people of all the provinces are getting aware of many of their forfeited rights.

Conflicting Idealisms

Every society and community has its own version of the ideal, the refined and the high. Pashtuns are blessed with good ideals which pre date the birth of Islam and Judaism, a fact and a reason why they shine and can shine with their Pashtuniyat for all times and ages. I believe that if Pashtuns used their Pashtuniyat properly they and only they can be an example of right and wrong, good and bad, true wisdom and ignorance and much more. There are some who suggest that Pashtuniyat is about power, money, revenge, and tribal ego, but such fools miss the truth and greatness of the way of life and the fact that it is a complete and all encompassing.

It is a complete way of life and many of its universal echoes can be heard in many ancient religious beliefs and God given revelations including Islam. The fact that there is'nt a written record or chronicle or a book for a guide does not weaken Pashtunwali in the least. The central core and basic tenets of Pashtuniyat are themselves simplicity and need no big elaboration by scribes and on paper. The tenets are universals, timeless, true and perfect for all peoples of the world and all times. They can govern us Pashtuns and all people.

A Panjabi or Kashmiri once said to me that Pashtu, if it is such a major language of the world has no script of its own, to which I replied, Pashtu and its predecessor languages did have their own scripts but little is studied about them or written on the subject. Ancient scripts and writings can be found in Afghanistan and parts of Central Asia dating back 4000 years which are clear and profound markers of the modern Pashtu, which is one of the most ancient languages of the world. There was for example an alphabet similar in some regards to the Semitic Phoenician alphabet called the Kharoshti Alphabet in which Qandahari was written, a clear predecessor of Pashtu. The Phoenician alphabet of course was the one from which all modern alphabets were derived.

There are clearly conflicting ideals in Pakistan but the most shamefull is this that some Panjabis say that Pashtuns don't belong in the NWFP and they are immigrants from Afghanistan etc. Now who is spreading hatreds and stirring real cak I ask those fools who love the king more than the king loves himself?

Then there are others of the establishment and chiefly Panjabis who say that Pashtun lands are barren and have nothing and they live on the charity of Pakistan. May their families and sisters and lands become barren. They say nothing but lie and spread mischief and cause others problems and distress and frustration. One would rather be dead and away than live on Pakistan's charitability. Pashtun lands are not barren nor have they no water, it is simply a statement of fact that every thing in the Frontier is used by the state and that includes the waters of the Frontier and much more and not to help Pashtuns but to help the state fund its corrupt tentacles and help Panjab province. Who is that Pakistan gets all its energy from?

I could go on but one thing is certain and clear and it is that Panjabis want to tell us that their ideal are superior to Pashtun ideals but they are showing us their great ideal not by way of argument or discourse but the apparatus of the evil state, and by its greed and lacklustre ways. The truth is that Panjabis do'nt really have any serious ideal or way of life because if they did they would they not be abit more civilised than they are at present? They live today lives of semi western and semi Islamic flutters and do not even know where they are going but they would preach such and such of their ideals to us.

I could have said much harsher things here and they would have been even better but I shall swallow those for now. In the area of conflicting ideals I can in all honesty say that Pashtuns have the greatest ideals amongst not just Pakistan's provinces but amongst the people of the whole world.

A country or state which has a history or repression of dissent and even genuine differences over opinions on simple matters can never be called a state, either unitary or federal. Such adjectives are only for people and places which act like states, have sensitivities and care for each other with solid social cohesion. And such goodness is absent in Pakistan for good.

Pakistanis leaders and even some fools on this website and others play many cards to make it appear that it is a fully fledged state but they seldom make any sense or appeal to reason or truth, because they are just liars and wicked in the extreme. Pakistan is such an illegitimate entity that it can only now survive on repression of all even proper dissent and sane calls for changes and justice. The Pashtun people are thirsty for their freedom and justice and so are the peoples of Baluchistan and Sindh, but Pakistan is always thwarting their desires and wish for change. The thwarting comes in the form of a democratic deficit and frustration of all their wishes and simple right to self determination and dignity.

The Pak military is clearly always incompetent to run the country and has always been that way. The present one is just a degree more incompetent and foolish but it can be what it wants to be, and the lesser the brains the better for all oppressed peoples. Just a couple of years ago the Musharraf regime took the reigns from Nawaz Sharif's lame and sick democracy. The skinny bottoms of Paki soldiers were jumping on the gates of Pak TV and all the so called state's bandwagon in a bloodless coup, they said, but there has been more bloodshed under this administration than any other in the history of the failed state.

There is today more hatred between the provinces and especially between Panjabis and Pashtuns. A couple months back I was reading Japan Times.com and I came across an article about Pakistan as a political entity compared to Turkey in which was stated that Turkey is formidably stronger because it has more social cohesion than Pakistan, a fact clearly noticeable and eye catching when one looks at Turkey despite its political and other problems.

And a couple of months ago the leaders of PONM, the oppressed nations movement wanted to stage a seminar in the National Assembly to discuss amongst other things just normal issues like autonomy for the provinces and rights to their resources etc but were thrown out of the Assembly campus for a start and no one in the Panjabi/ Muhajir dominated regime wanted to give them any ear nor allow others to hear them. They were scoffed and laughed at as anti state elements and government lawyers were on standby to see if they could say something for pretexts to arrest the leaders which included amongst others Ata Ullah Mangal of the Baluchistan National Party.

The PONM had much to advise the illegitimate regime of Pervez Musharraf and its illegitimate surrogates but due to their ignorance and stupidity, they are completely stiff necked even to good sound advice, and to no one's loss but their own. Is this the way to be proud of Pakistan, I ask all its foolish supporters? Is it not important for the ignorant fools to listen to such dissent to avoid problems later? Such attitudes have always been the norm since the creation of the hodge podge muslim state.

Addressing all grievances of people is surely impossible but the grievances which PONM wanted to discuss have been around for the last 57 years and still not addressed because there is no leadership to address them.

Is it also not a fact that ignoring such people can escalate into and all out civil war or still worst might it not regurgitate a problem similar to the one in which East Pakistan broke away? Such a situation will eventually in the not so distant future arise for the failed and ailing and illegitimate state if the so called leaders who's roles are so blurred that one cannot say whether they run the military or the state cannot make amends for the clear lack of democracy and its complete deficit and continue in not listening to the masses.

It is time for the illegitimat leaders of Pakistan to realise that the worst harm to them or to the ill gotten state will not come from mere nationalism but from their own home grown way, Panjabi and Muhajir way of dealing with dissent and not ever really accounting for the serious lack of democracy and voice for the people.

Some fools would say that Pakistan is a refined and proper state and there are no problems from the status quo but to such fools I would ask ''Who is it that has fared the worst from Pakistan's foolish and childish ways''? Is it the weaker provinces or the ruling cliques? Those who are with the status quo are themselves part of that status quo and want as always to spill some poisonous medicine down our throats against our will and their methods are not only silly but profoundly vain if that is the only way they want us to embrace an illegitimat and evil state.
