The Engagement Period

Hello all,
Recently engaged! Exciting and nerve racking all at once. We are both quite shy and still just getting to be comfortable as friends. (Complete arranged setup). Any tips on how to be more “progressive” in the relationship…and moving past the “how is school going” conversation. Or any stories of your own experiences that you want to share.

Re: The Engagement Period

How many kids do you want? When do you wanna have kids? What do you wanna name them kids? Talk about kids enough and you’ll be talking about making babies in no time.

You may or may not wanna talk about each others prior relationships. Or lack of prior relationship and how you felt about people around you who dated and we’re in relationships.

That’s all I could think of.

Disclaimer: I’m not engaged or have ever been engaged. Never been married. Take my advice, or anyone’s for that matter, with a grain of salt.

okay jk obviously … maybe start by asking his future plans career related…tell him yours. tell him what you aim to get out of life. ask him what makes him sad/angry/happy? things he likes/dislikes about himself? how he deals with conflict ?
