Pretty interesting stuff.

One of the posters wrote something interesting. References to Quranic ayahs in which it is said Rasulullah SAW does not know the future. Any comments on this?

If you are referring to Muhammad Zain’s contribution on that thread then he is arguing on the basis that “it is clear in the Qur’an that …” but in reality he is not recognising that his interpretation of the Qur’an seems clear to him, but the only way to test whether those verses are as clear to everybody is to gauge their understanding of those verses and if there is deviation then the only conclusion is that those verses are not as clear as he would like to believe.

For everyone of his contributions there are equally clear explanations that do not side with his stance. He is not looking at the subject naturally but he is approaching it with a preconceived bias.

For one … Is the warner the same as the warned? No … because the warner know something that the ones he warns do not know. And this is the basic first level of argument against Muhammad Zain. So when it is said that “RasoolAllah (SAW) is a man like us” what does that mean? It cannot mean in the sense that he (SAW) is ignorant like us, fallacious like us or anything like that … it means that he (SAW) is created by Allah (SWT) born of man and woman like us … but it does not encapsulate the entirety - a set of exceptions must be made somewhere. The way our teachers put it is … RasoolAllah (SAW) is like a human as much as an emerald is like stone. So if it is being said … “It’s a stone, like these” - you would clearly identify the fact that you would spend more to have that particular stone.

Only Allah is knower of the unseen. He is omniscient but He reveals some of the knowledge of the unseen to his messengers. Whatever information a messenger receives from Allah, he delivers it masses as per His command
