The end of the millenium

Wherever you go these days everyone is talking about the millenium.

I have heard that technically the end of the millenium is 31-12-2000 at 23:59 hours (dd-mm-yyy for those who dont understand British date format) as 1999 years would have been completed at that point. This sounds right to me.

What do you think?

that is corrrect.... the new millenium starts on 1/1/2001 not 1/1/2000......but most people have it confused any way..

Thanks for the reply. I thought it was such. I think people are going to celebrate a year too early.
