There is so much in common how the eldests of the sibling always are. So typically meek, responsible, submissive and compromising. And the same goes with the youngests. Naughty, non serious and unruly. Well this is what the common thought it. I was wondering the other day if that is something factual or just a prejudice. Being the eldest myself, I feel it leaves less room for the mischiefs.. and then the eldests have to act mothery/fatherly too. How do you, at whatever number you are, find this concept to be true of false. Please share.

In my case i am the fourth son of five.
I never really grew up at home till i was to old... :(
But i guess as a gerralisation the older kids will be more wise than the younger and the younger ones will get away with things... making up for later life.

Every individual is diff but usually the eldest are more responsible.

I’m the eldest among my siblings…and the most mischievous…the goof ball. My mom often says she should have had my sister first…and me last.
My sister (the youngest) has never been naughty or unruly. She can be silly at times (not as often as me, lol) but is mostly practical. Come to think of it…
..I can’t recall a time that she’s ever gotten in trouble. Me on the other hand…I identify more with Alvin (chipmunks). I am protective of my family (but so are my siblings in their own way)…and I think I’m the more sensitive among us.
There will always be exceptions to the generalizations (regarding birth order and personalities)…and I think that traits (love, generosity, being protective, wisdom, etc) are show in different ways by people. Overall, I find that the differences make things more interesting.

Yup! The youngest is always sooooo naughty and irresponsible, and loves to take every thing in life in a very cool manner.
But I also know some1 who is the second in the family…but the naughtiest out of the whole lot!!!
But I think generally the youngest is like that coz they are always spoiled by their siblings and parents coz they are the baby of the family, and will always be the baby in their eyes
