The dishwasher Question

So with all these all in one tablets available in the market , do we still need to put dishwasher salt in it?

I have lately noticed that the dishwasher doesnt dry the dishes completely .. I havnt used the salt since almost a year now coz the tablets are all in one and I didnt think salt was needed .. but now i am thinking perhaps that could be the reason why the dishes retain water and dont dry out completely?

Re: The dishwasher Question

Wet dishes from diswashers is an age-old dilemma. I will wait for any suggestions also.

Also it is always the plastic containers that retain water, not the ceramic or stoneware dishes for some reason.

Are you sure the drying heat button is pressed ?

Re: The dishwasher Question

Dishes NEVER dry out completely. How can they? The DRYING cycle merely gets rids of heavy wetness. There isn't a blower in there as far as I know so some wetness will remain. Best to take a kitchen towel and do the final drying before putting your dishes away.

Re: The dishwasher Question

PS, don’t be such a lazy bum ! What’s next, can I get a robot to load and unload the dishes for me? (Secret answer: yes :D)

Re: The dishwasher Question

heated dry on my dishwasher works wonders.
if not open the dishwasher after its done and leave it open, let the dishes sit in it, they will dry out soon enough.

Re: The dishwasher Question

Yea, the heated dry option on my dishwasher gets the job done pretty well, don’t really have a problem with wet dishes :konfused:

Re: The dishwasher Question

Same as X2, rarely does the heated dryer not does the job, and if ever that happens I leave the dishwasher open for some time.

Re: The dishwasher Question

Mine always dry ^_^

Re: The dishwasher Question

So what about adding the salt guys? do I need to add it despite the all in one tablet?

Re: The dishwasher Question

The best one is when somebody complains about too much laundry they have to do, all in washing machines and dryers.

It’s like they have to haul the dirty clothes all the way to the panghat and beat the dirt out with baseball/cricket bats with their own naazuk hands. Jeez people. Entitled much ? :smack:

Re: The dishwasher Question

All the likes are for your sughraapa, X2.

I don’t know if ye khush honay ki baat hai yaa sharmindaa honay ki baat hai. :hmmm:

What is there to be embarrassed about if one is able to have a clean home, clothes, dishes, car, and self.

Re: The dishwasher Question

You shut me up real good. I have no comeback. :)

Re: The dishwasher Question

Half of the time wet dishes are due to overloading or not loading the dishes properly

We always use it with heated dry setting and it has never left the dishes wet or with stain. We use liquid dish washing soap (Cascade) and drying agent (Jet dry by Finish)

PS: OK. replace all “we” with “I” :sid:

Re: The dishwasher Question

Heated dry works well for us too, dishes are always dry. Ive never heard of putting salt in the dishwasher, do you mean actual salt or some kind of special dishwasher salt :konfused:

Re: The dishwasher Question

oh no , not table salt, its the dishwasher salt ..
