pilao mein yakhni use hotee hai

biryani mein masala (salan type) use hota hai.

can you elaborate on the yakhni part (i don't quite get what that is) ..... thanks ......:)

abb mein yakhni kaisay samjhaoo.. hmm.. u boil the meat and bones in water with all the masala in it .. u let it cook for a while till meat is tender. that water with everything in it is yakhni..

okay if u r confused.. i am sure someone else can explain it better. :)

ah … i wasn’t sure if thats what you called yakhni … i know how to cook both .. its just that i don’t get why one is called biryani and another pulao … i am always using the wrong name for it pulao ko biryani khati houn or biryani ko pualo … … thanks a lot …

for pulao u use the broth of meat n cook rice in it (in yakhni)
for biryani ...u cook (boil) rice seperately n masala seperately ...n afterwards just set layers n steam them
