fido, I think I've already addressed much of what you've described.
The whole myth that women dont enjoy sex is just that : a myth. Its our culture that says women shouldn't be open about sex, shouldn't discuss it, and should treat it as something private, etc, while the same obligations aren't placed on men.
I'm not saying women should be talking openly about sex or anything , but I'm saying that many differences you see are culturally-based, and not natural.
Again, we do enjoy sex.
As for Pain - its not painful at all for most women - its pleasure-inducing. However, some women do feel pain - but its about the same pain men probably feel. And then there are even fewer women who feel pain because they have physical problems - like, maybe their bodies aren't producing lubricants enough or at all, or perhaps its mechanical in that the vagina just doesn't stretch enough. In those cases, doctors should be consulted, and the husband and wife really ought to talk it out and explore available options. But that's a physical problem and most women do feel pleasure instead of just pain.
Also, pain can be caused when men aren't being "gentle" during sex. In that case, its a wife's right to talk to her husband about that.
I hope that answered your questions.
