yeah its da hindi version..U must have seen that they call their parents tum as well. Like Maa tum yeh kar dena, etc etc...

I think in bollywood movies and soaps they use ''tu' not tum which sound a bit rude

"Tu" is not rude but sounds jahilana. It's their everyday language.

Tu or tum = You.
