I am surprised at the reaction to word “barbaric”. The sacrificing of the animals is a pre-islamic practice. jews used to do the same sacrifice also but they gave up on that practice. Anyway barbaric is my opinion, i dont like the sight of goats/cows butchered in open and their blood and innards all over the street. If u like it then fine!
Why dont we discuss the main point of my post instead of getting stuck on guessing what was my “motivation” for posting.
btw i like kabab and nihari that doesnt meant i have to butcher my own goat!
We all know that in pakistan its all the show…who has the fattest bakra..cow is better than bakra…camel is the best… elephant ?
The point is if the money used for buying/sacrificing these animals or the animals themselves, is given to poor isnt that a better sacrifice? At least this yr when millions of poor have lost their livestocks.

I agree with you VoiceOne on your original post. Don’t worry about what posters say here. A lot of people here on this site and in Pakistan like to label and try to judge people’s motive without using an iota of common sense!
