The Day After the Wedding

Yeah, we have that in my family.

In some ways I think it's to make sure that the dulhan's okay and happy after the wedding night.

How can just one night, and that too a few hours, determine that the girl is happy after the wedding? You used the words "after the wedding night", do you mean after the wedding or just the wedding night?

ill be happy after teh wedding nite

yup!!i had that on my wedding about 3 months back!!! but its not like you guys think it is.....i had a day's gap between shadi and valima and yes I booked a hotel room as well. By the time we got a chance to "talk" was about 3 am...then we went to sleep around 7 am and woke up around 3 pm and then went home where my wife's famly was waiting to take her with them. so its all good!!dont worry!

tey feer fajr qazaa paRRhee hoyegee?

PCG, i know i had to go through with that as well :D

the morning after my hubby dropped me off at my parents place, where everyone had slept the night away in their hairstyles and makeup still on!

if it wasnt such a serious occasion i wouldve laughed my head off! oh we had the walima the next day so i had to go home for the makeup artist :)

wese i've learned in Asian families these occasions are never for the boy and girl in question, they are for the families

HAAYYYYE ALLLAAHHHHH!!!

BACHO, tum logon ko akhir kya ho gaya haiii :smack:

Tussi dono nu inni fikar kyu pay ha. :hoonh:

HAHAHAHAHAAAAA… LOL

Apney bhai ki fikar hamey nahi hogi tou aur kissey hogi

shukaria yaar!!! aap nay bari fikar ki!!!

waisay hum nay namaz nahin parhi thi…

Usually the next day is the Valima so the girl’s family comes over and takes her with them and then the husband sees her at the valima :hehe:

Kinda weird tradition :s

believe me!!its very good!!cause husband can get other things done in the mean time..since valima is from his side sometimes he is the only one trying to make arrangements and leaving your new wife alone would be the most difficult thing to do at the moment.......

That's very different. I've never heard of that before. After my Shaadi, my in-laws all went to my parents house for breakfast. Then we drove to my in-laws home 4 hours away. Then we went for our honeymoon and a week later was Valima. Then a few days after Valima we went to Chicago where my husband was finishing med school.

so you got married in US?? that might be the difference cause I was married in karachi...

when i get married, i wanna take my wife away to some isolated placed where no one can disturb us and we can peacefully make babies.

ps. shikra & pcg, u both make a cute couple IMO

Lussi bhai, merey moun ki baat cheen lee  Khud kahtey huey sharam aa rahi thee aur woh hai k samajh hi nahi rahi thee :frusty: Kisi bazurg ney ab kah diya tou shayad ussey hint mil jaye  Thankoo lussi bhai

bohat aala!!

write her a poem…that would seal the deal..
