Hello Guys! The 1st ODI ended up with the D/L Rule. Do you think it was fair for the Indians because this Rule isn’t quite often used and it has been reworked. Please express your valueable views.
Re: The D/L Rule !
Its used only when needed. These games are scheduled months in advance so you can't predict the weather on that specific day. When the weather does interrupt, you have to use the D/L method. Its far more fairer than the methods used in the past (like the one in the '92 WC semi-final which left South Africa to make 22 runs off 1 ball).
Its part of the rules of one day cricket you either take it or dont play. Indians had themselves to blame because they were already 25 minutes past the scheduled time of play and they still had 3 overs to bowl.
Sincerely,
Captain Lota

I would say yes, because whenever any Rules/Laws are Passed they are dne with the blessings of ICC, who is the mother of all Cricket playing nations.
So yes WE the Indians did know what WE were getting into before WE screwed up the time/over Ratio.
I personally would have liked the match to go to the last ball, but like I said laws are laws and must be respected.
