Encourage rank and file to revolt against the corrupt Generals, try them for corruption and install honest loyal officers at top. Negotiate peace with neighbors and disband the military

First, civilians have to come to a consensus that they will not try to pull the military to their side in their own quest for power.
Then, they need to create political space for military reforms by improving the economic life of citizens.
Only then can the reforms start.
The constitution of 1973 gives rights and responsibilities to every institution and person. The kind of consensus with which the 1973 constitution was adopted can never be reached again in this country of over 300 million people. Following the laws, which have been adopted through the legislative process outlined by the 1973 constitution, is the way to limit every institution and every individual to their constitutional rights and responsibilities. That is also the way to a strong, united and prosperous Pakistan iA.

Weaken the influence in what? Internal politics, then yea lets talk about it. Country's defense, no we dont want them to loosen influence there, infact they should only gain it further. Like them or hate them, they are the reason the country is still out there in whichever shape it is.
You live in Canada for now until they decide to remove you but many of us have families and acquaintances back home. A Pakistan with no army would invite a Taliban/TTP plus Indian takeover depending upon where you live not to mention western interference due to the US-China Cold War. Iran back in the friendly Shah days was beefing up its military in the seventies to control the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean. The Shah even had a plan to “hold” Balochistan if Pakistan didn’t work out after 1971. Do you think Iran would hold back if they could grab this valuable province?
Pakistan needs to learn from countries like Indonesia and perhaps even Turkey on how to roll back military intrusion in internal politics. One key point would be that all politicians would need to accep that the military would not be invited into internal civilian matters. No ex-PAF chiefs for PIA, no military seats in civil service, no ISI doing spying on opponents or sitting in election commission committees (Imran is guilty as charged) or fauji foundations running civilian enterprises.
I don’t think that Pakistan is there even with all the talk by Imran Khan. Imran Khan is very good at talking but he still hasn’t publicly called for no army interference ever in politics again. He says one thing and does something else like secret meetings with Bajwa at President House. This is to believe that he is serious even if he declares it so since he himself has said that taking U-turns is a sign of great leadership. I feel that Imran is upset that the establishment isn’t working for him but for PDM rather than getting them out of politics once and for all. This has the Trumpian cultist written all over it where loyalty is above principles.
People would rather disintegrate the country and build it up again from the ashes, than living under Army rule now.
This churaan of india, TTP, 5th generation war should stop now. You can’t keep a country of 300m people occupied using these terms anymore, it’s not even funny now.
The whole system of establishment works under one person, the army chief. Need to shake things up here. Distribute his power among different institutions. ISI’s director and 2nd in command should be a civilian. No retired solider should be given a gov job, no extension for AC. PM’s security should be under a civilian security company or institution. No plots for the generals after retirement. Roll back army business.

Bangladesh and very many very successful countries have very little army and are doing well, If Bangladesh is not taken over by India, why would India takeover Pakistan. I bet even if Pak offered to be taken over, no one would touch it with a mile long stick. It has absolutely nothing to offer and the population is extremely violent and corrupt.
Modern slavery is thru financial and economic markets, US just prints money and most countries slave to accept those dollars.
I was watching a PTI leader from Pak Kashmir whose daughter was raped by Pakistani Military, the horrible human rights violations that are done by Pak army are the worst, they are abducting people, abusing mothers, daughters and attacking civilians.
Indian Kashmiris have a much better life than Pakistanis, we have nothing to offer to them. Pak army is no defence for the country. When Musharraf was threatened by US, he fell to his knees, 92K soldiers surrendered so easily in 71.
Pak army does not offer ant defence. Best would be peace treaties with neighbours. Pak Army cannot force KP to stay part of Pak by force, no population can ever be forced. Best again is to negotiate with Pashtuns, Baluchs.

^^^ Such intellect is neither new nor surprising among expats originating from the subcontinent and residing in the west. When Allama Iqbal visited Britain, he too came across similar thoughts among Indian civil servants who used to train in the UK at that time, Allama Iqbal noticed how inferior those civil servants used to consider themselves and their own background, culture, religion, skin color, traditions, etc. compared to the Britishers. So much so that all of that had to be in line with British likes to be of any value. Since them being highly educated and having traveled to the UK, upon return , those civil servants were considered very wise, but they confused the common people immensely. Little did the common people know that they were basically transformed into mental slaves of the British. Their intellect and exposure was useless for the common people of the subcontinent. And, Allama Iqbal said the following two lines about those mental slaves and their intellect:

Unfortunately under the auspicious Corrupt Army influence. The nation has shown absolutely no freedom. They buckled to US, helped them against Afghans. It is well known that the corrupt Generals dance to the tune of the masters. How can a bankrupt nation gloat of freedoms.
If you are dying of starvation, should war with a tenfold bigger enemy be a priority.
Kashmir problem is not any different than Balochistan, right now focus should be to appease Balochs, Padhtuns. Making economic progress.
Bangladesh is prime example to keep small army, be peaceful and spend that money on progress.

Actually, the army is the reason the country broke apart and may break apart again. Their centralized idea of Pakistan has been imposed by force on everyone. Pakistan is more likely to survive as a confederation in which all participate voluntarily and military force is only to defend against foreign aggression.

Unless I understand & resolve the puzzle why any 'Pakistani' would want to 'weaken' country's army, I would avoid commenting in a topic which I believe is a part of the latest anti-Pak army campaigns launched by the global fascists especially because now the army chief is a hafiz Quran. That is the only reason of all the latest anti-Pak, anti-pak-army global & social media campaigns of India & friends. But mainly india & their paaltu kuttas hiding in Pakistan.

I always saw these paid stooges posting on YouTube videos that Qadir Bhai had seen Bajwa in dreams with Prophet Muhammad. The army establishment had also declared Fatima Jinnah of all people as traitor.

“Only” and “Alone” are redundant in your first few lines. I’m not saying they are the only reason but they are definitely the major reason. I understand the difference of opinion about them, and yes they can be criticized, limited or so much more but calling them cult or waging a campaign to dismantle them is just ridiculously insane. I dont disagree with the thing in bold yet its imperative to recognize their value first and then work on the democratic system (which is actually still in place, just not followed) that justifies the heirarichal order to run the system.
