THE CREATOR GOD STRIKES OUT!

I wanted to post this in Religious forum, but I thought that was inappropriate for this…so I’m posting it here. Its an interesting article & its worth reading.

Proof That God Does Not Exist ! (updated), page 1

THE CREATOR GOD STRIKES OUT!

Every possible form which energy and/or matter can take, must be in use and exists today in time and space. Why? Because we are always in the middle of Eternity. Eternity is a two way street. Eternity runs both ways don’t you know. These forms will include universes about which we know nothing. It will include undiscovered transformations of energy/matter, and any other undiscovered condition, forms or expressions which energy and/or matter may take.

When we speak of a God here, we are only speaking of that concept fostered upon us by the Christian religion which claims that a God is the creator of all that is. They claim a God was preexistent. That is, before there was anything, there was a God.

By using this Christian definition, we are eliminating the many varied little concepts of a God. Most of those activities, miracles and controversies (if they are true) could also be attributed to some super race of long lived aliens, and they need not be classified as gods. Aliens could easily possess powers, technologies and abilities which seem god like to our infant science. But, they are only advancements which some day even we may possess. So we are only dealing with the Christian concept of a creator God.

To say that before anything existed, a God existed, is an oxymoron. Such a statement can neither be understood nor conceived by our minds. It can not possibly be true and here is why. If a God existed, then that God is something. And something is not nothing. So the universe could not have possibly come from nothing. It must have come from something. Thom’s law explains that.

Thom’s Law
“Nothing can not produce something. If there was ever a time when there was nothing, there would STILL be nothing.”

So even a God (which is something) could not be produced by nothing. Therefore, if a God came into being, he must have come out of something. The only “something” which exists now and has always existed is that of energy and/or matter.

So, any God (or anything else) must be, or must have been, the product of something. Everything which is, must be a product of energy and/or matter.

Now that is strike one against the Christians who say that a God preexisted nothing. Or, as some say, a God coexisted with nothing. That is, while there was nothing, there was also a God. (Unless, of course, you wish to claim that God IS nothing. I could accept that claim, but then I would not be here would I? Proof enough. I am here.) So, you can not have a God (which is something) and say that before him, there was nothing. You must either start with a God, which is something (and came from something) or you must start with nothing. For sure, you can not have it both ways. If there is a God, he is something and something can not come out of nothing.

Strike two says, since there was something which must have predated a God, God could not have created everything. He could not have created himself if he was not himself to start with. God himself/herself/it would have to be developed from something that was NOT a God. God is claimed to have knowledge and character. Knowledge and character MUST be developed. It can not be decreed. It can not be magically waved into existence. Knowledge and character is a PRODUCT of life and living. It is a product of making wise and foolish choices. It is a product of growth.

Did a God have the knowledge to create or make a universe? Where did he develop that knowledge? It is inconceivable that God simply sneezed and the universe came into being. I don’t think even the Christians would believe that.

To have the knowledge to create, or even to make a universe, God must have had some prior experience, some development, some trials and errors in how and why this worked and that did not. Also, the Christians attribute lots of wonderful attributes to their God. God is all good. God is all great. God is all just. God is all wise. God is all knowing. God is everywhere. God is all powerful, and so forth.

That is, the Christians give God a good, moral and powerful character. Now character can not be developed in a vacuum. Character must be developed by trial and error. Character must be developed by finding out what is good and what works. To do this one must also find out what is bad and does not work. Character must always answer the question, “Why?” in order to develop. Character is a growth process.

Therefore, there must have been other individuals and intelligences with whom God could interact in order to develop a good character. There must be at least a family of them. Therefore, God is not alone. So, other intelligence demands some type of setting in which they could interact. They must have a place, a home of sorts. So we now must allow God to have at least a family, a home and a setting, or a place of operating, in order to develop his character. So that is strike two against a creator God being by HIMSELF, and at the same time having both a good character and ultimate science knowledge. God could not decree himself a good character or vast scientific knowledge. He would not know what was good or what to decree. He must have developed that knowledge.

In addition to this, God talked! How could a God language develop without other like beings with whom to communicate. Come on now! Think about it!

Next, we come to strike three. If there was something out of which God came, then there was already material available to make a universe. That is, God could not possibly have created the universe. However, God could have MADE the universe. That is, he could have taken the material which was available and MADE the universe out of that.
The Christian information about a creation comes from a mistranslation of the Jewish Testament. The Jewish text reads:

“In beginning, the GODS MADE the heaven and the earth.”

The Christians CHANGED that to read:

“In THE beginning, GOD CREATED the heaven and the earth.”
In other words, the concept of a creation stems from a MISTRANSLATION - from a LIE. Think about that!

Either the God of the Old Testament made a mistake and used the word “made” when he should have used the word “create” in telling us about a beginning, or the New Testament God made a mistake and used the word “create” instead of the word “made” to describe a beginning. In other words, one of these Gods is lying to us. Which God is lying to us?

Since the Old Testament God told his tale first and then the New Testament God plagiarized his work, I must assume the New Testament God is the real liar in this case. Of course, if you do not wish to give the New Testament God the credit for this lie, you could give that credit to the writers of the holy book.

There are those Christians who say (in spite of Thom’s law) that God did come out of nothing. I have some questions. Is God supposed to be greater than the universe? The Christians say, “Yes.” Then why didn’t NOTHING create something smaller or less significant than a God in its first effort at creation? Why didn’t NOTHING do something simple first? How would NOTHING have the wisdom to make something more important and more complex than itself, more important and complex than the whole universe? Why didn’t NOTHING make the universe first and then make a God?

How did NOTHING make a God when it had not yet discovered how to make the hydrogen atom? The effort of making a God would have challenged all the resources of NOTHING, which resources of course is zero. Hydrogen atoms would not have strained the efforts, knowledge and power of NOTHING nearly as much as making something greater than the universe.

Did you know that believers in all ages have created gods? Today believers can create too! They make lots of gods using only the twenty six letters of the English alphabet.

Now it is a fact, you can not put a strain on zero. You can multiply it. You can divide it. You can add it. You can kick zero around, abuse it, smash it, cast it aside and guess what? It is still a perfect zero. So I do here by declare ZERO to be the only perfect number in the universe. Nothing you can do to it changes the value of ZERO. It is always and for ever - ZERO. You just can not get anything out of ZERO except ZERO. And NOTHING is ZERO. And ZERO is NOTHING. A God did not and COULD NOT come out of ZERO.

So, the Christian concept of a creator God goes down on a called strike three. From now on, the creator God must take his seat on the bench next to the rest of the religious gods who struck out. A God could not have preexisted that from which he came. He could not create himself. He could not create the universe without vast knowledge which he must have learned by trial and error. He could not have learned without other intelligence with whom to interact. He could not have created the universe from nothing when material (energy/matter) was already available from which to make it. The creator God strikes out.

Since there is no creator God, maybe there is a Maker God. Let us examine that next.

Apart from this particular discourse being erroneous, because it treats the concept 'nothingness' as something. Islam in its wisdom defines preexistence better for us.

"Allahu Ahad, Allahu Samad" = This mean 'God is First-Eternal-Preexistent' ... it means before everything (else) there was God.

Islam therefore conlcudes that linguistic expression "before God ...." as an erroneous assumption. To say the phrase "Before God" is wrong because God is First.

Now there really is no strike here !!!

Let me tell you a joke on this subject, again.
At one point of time in history man was able to create everything. They could produce best humans in labs who were free of diseases and all kind of deformities, perfect in all sense. So they challenged God to have a competition as to who can create better humans. God accepted the challenge. Everybody gathered in a big stadium to watch this competition. God told the scientist to give it a go first. They started to gather dirt to create that clone.

God said to them " NOT SO FAST. CREATE YOUR OWN DIRT "

:omg: :omg:

Re: THE CREATOR GOD STRIKES OUT!

Strike 2 is also fallacious:

Firstly it is partially based on the incorrectness of the alleged Strike 1 and furthermore a claim is being made that character can only be gained by experience. The basis for this claim is erroneous anyway because it cannot be proven, but seeing that the rationale behind it was based on us ... living creatures. As we are created duration has its bearing with us, but this cannot be applied to God.

Again "Wa lam ya kullahu kufuwan ahad" And there is no single entity at all like Him.

We cannot apply traits of people on to God.

Re: THE CREATOR GOD STRIKES OUT!

Existence of God or its non-existence, both cannot be explained by any logic or argument.

Its a matter of pure belief.

Any argument for or against will be flawed. Its a waste of time and only good for mental exercise.

Re: THE CREATOR GOD STRIKES OUT!

Peace diwana

Until the existence of God is not disproven then it is reasonable to assume that God may exist even without belief this can be determined. Although proof may not exist there are signs of the existence of God and its those signs we use to make our beliefs.

Signs are evidence but are not undeniable proof. To have many many signs is similar or close to having proof. Or increases the likelihood of being true.

Re: THE CREATOR GOD STRIKES OUT!

I agree with your analogy somewhat. But What I meant is the existence of God cannot be proven per se by any logical argument based on brain work.

Also if something cannot be proven NOT to exist does not automatically prove its existence.

Its a matter of faith/belief. God exists in mind and heart of people and if someone does not believe in existence of God, no amount of logic can make someone do the opposite.

The signs and evidences you are mentioning can be explained and have been explained by alternate reasoning however weak they may be considered. I am glad you said....... 'similar or close to having proof'.

Initial part is belief and then people go around looking for evidence. Its not 100 percent possible in reverse direction. Its like wearing green glasses and then everything looks green. But one cannot make other person wear green glasses if other person does not want to. That is what I tried to convey.

Peace.

Diwana Bhai,

Belief is not merely a matter of intuitional infusion, on the contrary it is mostly acquired and that too only with an intention to acquire it

Re: THE CREATOR GOD STRIKES OUT!

Yes sir. Both red and blue are correct. Specially the red part. Essentially my position above, without using archival/uncommon English words.:) (Take it as a good comment)

We are in agreement there.

Some extension of my thoughts:

We are born, we are told there is God. We are told its sin and absolutely terrible to question presence or absence of God. That's our institution from very beginning.

Later it goes on in our surroundings. People with religious talk and .....religious places. We find billions of people following one or the other religion.

Just like other habits, mannerism and acquired 'postures' from parents, we acquire to live life without questioning religion and existence of God.

Its like brain cells and connections while being developed, we develop a sense of having someone "out there" who is unseen, unheard, and untouched. One who brought us in the world and will bring us back to him.

Then we grow up..............

And we do get 'brave' and start questioning after opening up to the world.

Some of us don't even become brave enough to question this but some do.

Many go back to their institutional/lifelong teaching and some do not.

Those who go back, either become hard fast religious or so called moderately religious. No amount of scientific, logical or religious argument will make them stop believing on existence of God or religion. Unless they had some hidden doubts.

Those who do not go back **are either agnostic or aesthetics.** They feel they fly like a free bird. Off course they continue to live by 'ethical' and 'moral' ways depending where they live. But again, no amount of argument based on science, or logic will convince them to come back. These are relatively few people since world if full of people who follow one or other 'religion'.

There is third category. A free floating one. These keep going back and forth between other two groups. Sometimes agreeing and sometimes not with God being present (religious) or not (Aetheist) or indifferent (agnostic). Some of these DO fall one way or other some time.

Lets get your/anyone's response if any and later .............few thoughts about believers.:)

Re: THE CREATOR GOD STRIKES OUT!

Peace diwana and Intelliphant

This is a belief about our beliefs or how we crystalise them. It is best taken from the angle of previously established creedal matters from the 'Ashari and Maturidi schools at least when it comes to Islam.

According to the Maturidi school it is neccesary to believe that 'truth' can be discerned with the intellect i.e. using intelligent processes. According to the 'Ashari perspective only revelation can achieve this. Both schools have their reasons but they fundamentally disagree about this issue, because it leads on to how they both view punishment. Maturidis say that every human should be Muslim through reasoning if not by parental upbringing even when the message of Islam has not come to such a person. 'Ashari people say that not all unbelievers will enter hell because the message of Islam may not have reached them. And so on.

What the debate here is that "are humans naturally inclined to believe in Deity or not"

Personally I believe we are naturally inclined however, not necessarily to the refined position of Tawheed, but we do exhibit praise and adoration and worship no matter if we are atheists, polytheists, and so on. It is the article of that worship that may differ.

I like reconciliation and say that both are required, the intelligent processes are required or else we would not be told that insane people are masum, on the other hand we are disadvantaged and many sane people have died living outside Islam, it may be due to their own arrogance but it may also be due to their own sphere of life being deficient. It does however have to do with Tawfiq.

Either way there are also those who do receive the word in the correct manner reject it and those people are called 'kaafir' such people cover up the truth, i.e. they allow themselves to be blinded by their own ignorance and hence cannot see the truth. Why else would they be called kaafir?

Some people do this subconsciously some do it consciously to maintain their position in society no less.

Anyway we come to the chicken and the egg of this topic what comes first guidance or the desire for guidance. It has to be the desire for it as per the Qur'an. Which leads on to the concept of philosophy ... that such a domain of study has developed because people had the desire to know truth. The fact that their own logic and intellect stumped them in more developed theories does not undo the work they have done in getting themselves to that progressed state. It just took someone called Al-Ghazali to pick up the ideas under the light of Islam to answer all their unanswered questions.

As far as this discourse is concerned we should believe that we have the capacity to find the truth otherwise we will fall short of that desire that is needed. We may be in danger of thinking fatalistically by saying that I'm either a believer or I am not.

Re: THE CREATOR GOD STRIKES OUT!

I understand your point of discussion but have problem with bold part.

A desire should not be the deciding factor of ability to achieve.

In other way, a desire is only a desire, but this does not automatically mean the desired item can be obtained.

And this essentially makes human being simply not able to always achieve the level of belief on the basis of simple desire, to seek deity.

But as I said, the desire has to be there to even begin with, in believing on deity/existence of God.

Many people live happily, being harmless to other and totally functional without this desire or achieving belief on deity. ( I can start a thread on it or related to it, sometime..if I get enough time)

Peace.
