OK so I too go to Costco to buy some stuff once in a while. I understand they have some great deals and all. Just yesterday a friend told me about her trip to Hawaii and how she purchased this amazing package from Costco…
Yes, there’s no denying that we can all get good deals there once in a while.
But my question to you all is that why do we people get so emotionally attached to stores as if humarey baap ka hai . This lady I know fought with another lady while trying to prove that Costco had better deals than Sam’s Club. OMG and you should have seen the passion. And to think that Costco doesn’t even care a bit about that fever some folks have
Some just like to be right no matter what and as far as Costco itself is concerned...I shop there too. In some ways, I find it more expensive than your local grocers and in some ways cheaper. It just depends on what you buy, the brands you prefer, who carries them. etc.
They really shouldnt be getting this worked up over it. Costco or Sams Club dont care.
Yes but I've seen this a lot in Costco members. They get insulted of you say you didn't get a good deal or if you didn't like their brand of kettle chips. :(
^ Really? You should tell them its really not that serious people!
Okay, I admit I love Costco and have found some really good deals there...but for things like produce or even bread...eh...I dont know. It can be a bit much. Toilet paper, towels, shampoo, etc are great there though. If you have a party coming up, its so much cheaper to shop there.
I think Costco has a bit of a cult like atmosphere...people who shop there feel like they're part of some cool persons's club or something.
Their kettle chips are good...but I dont like chips so meh.
Ummmm I have known people like that but they fight over other stuff…its more of a personality thing methinks
We dont’ have a costco/sam’s club/bj’s membership cz our situation doesnt really require it (no car and no space to put the stuff ), but personally I don’t like the idea of having to pay $$ on top of shopping somewhere..
I have a costco membership and had sams clubs earlier, costco is just closer to work and home so makes more sense.
freakin freshies bring their kids there as if its some picnic, maaa baap are shopping and marr-bhukay nadeeday bacchay are running around like a nerd herd cutting in lines taking fistfulls of samples. and its not just desis the hillbilly types are also doing that. so annoying
eggs, croissants, cheese, milk, yogurt, toiletries are cheaper there and then they have some stuff that is harder to find in other places. but not sure if its worth fighting over.
Its been years since Ive been to a Sam's Club. It was nice and Im not sure why we switched but I think it has to do with location.
We were one of those families you see walking out with carts overloaded with groceries...hahaha. I dont think my parents had a choice with the four of us though.
What Ive noticed with being part of these warehouses is if you're not careful, your dollar wont go far. :( Its very easy to get carried away, spend a lot of money and walk out with things you might not have ever needed. Or you'll spend and when you get home you look at your loot skeptically thinking "all that and this is all I got?". Not everyone that shops at Costco or Sams Club is smart OR saving a ton of money OR getting the best deals.
It IS fun to watch the sampling mob though...I only sample if its chocolate...lol
