I thought it was just “mullahs” who were criticizing and cursing US but I see you are doing the same (almost). BTW how does that feel when you are proven wrong (you claimed no “mullah” helping out)?

Re: The Corrupt government of Pakistan...
what a load of rubbish. What have you maoners done?
Think about the scale of this and terrain. Their is only so much a country can do on it;s own and even if you where a super power you wouldnt get instant help that you moaners expect. Yest times are hard but will get better. Thta money which has been pledged is not hard currency it probabaly wont even materialise ever half of it anyway. Even if Pakistan did have all that money pledged in liquid form it will be only as good as the logistics which is the weak point at moment.
Re: The Corrupt government of Pakistan...
GUYS u know GOVT has denied the adoption option for the child and accept all the expenses will be beared by the GOVT. b/c there in pak there are many evil they used to adopt child and treate them very badly and even compell them to beg they raped the girls and many more so considering all this evils in pak this decision should be apreciated and can u ever imagine how many orphan child are there and how much govt will pay for their PERVARISH.
Just imagine and kindly do'nt blame govt, critisism is acceptable but with that give ur precious advices as well. directly call to the concerning person and directly ask them on the current situation the ph.no are available on different pak' newspaper site and tv sites.
Re: The Corrupt government of Pakistan…
great post, except for calling the posters hijras man, dislike their view, argue, show them the light, but why call names ![]()
otherwise great points, that parade of bakwaas was going on for too long until you stepped in
Re: The Corrupt government of Pakistan…
did you rrad all the reports from disdaster experts globally saying that this is a major catastrophe that a country liek pakistan can not manage on its own.
the best the govt can do may not be good enough, but that does not mean it is not the best, soldiers are working like machines, putting their own safety and life at risk to help, as best they can.
And here we are cheapening the selfless efforts and sacrifices of these ppl just to grind our own axes and score points against the govt.
what a shame.
Re: The Corrupt government of Pakistan...
Fraudia, I have received emails privately and others too, read that thread in General... that doesn't necessarily show all is bad also read my post #18. I agree that govt. is working best it can, but fortunately NGOs and private organizations are not waiting for military and govt. Thumbs up for whoever is in the relief effort. I pray that all the aid govt. is getting will get to the victims/affectees.
Re: The Corrupt government of Pakistan...

i quoted your post but the message was for everyone. I think there are those (not you) who are grinding their ideological and political axes at the expense of the suffering of people and cheapening the sacrifices and efforts being put forth by everyone in Pakistan, govts, NGOs, students, celebrities, ..everyone. Knowing ppl who are on the frontline in these efforts and how they are working day and night, i can only sympathise with the kind that can not for once be united.

“The huge profits of trans-national corporations are directly dependent on access to inexhaustible supplies of cheap labour in countries like India and Pakistan. The existence of hundreds of millions of people living in absolute poverty across South Asia is the essential precondition for the extravagant lifestyles of the super rich in New York, Tokyo and London,” he said.
He maintains that the responses of Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair to the earthquake reflect the “contempt and indifference of the ruling circles they represent towards the impoverished masses of Asia, African and Latin America”. Washington’s promise of $50 million and the use of a handful of military helicopters pales into insignificance compared to the huge US resources devoted to the subjugation of Iraq and its vast oil reserves, he said.
World stock markets did not even register the quake because it did not affect any major investment or vital resource, he said, adding that as far as the global corporate elites are concerned, the earthquake victims are “entirely expendable”.

Re: The Corrupt government of Pakistan…
A sad but true article. We cannot deny corruption and black hearts of our government/military. There are black sheeps in big number in both military and government and they won’t let any opportunity pass by to make some quick bucks be it death of their own people :hoonh:
I have heard private accounts regarding fauji jawans selling tents and other relief items privately which should be regarded one of biggest crimes in the situation and such criminals should receive severe punishment… but who am I kidding, justice and our military is just a big laugh (pathetic).
I pray to Allah that He guide all of us to right path, aameen.
Group Says Pakistan Hoards Quake Aid
MUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan - A U.S.-based human rights group on Saturday accused Pakistani officials of storing tents and other relief supplies instead of immediately distributing them to earthquake survivors. The government denied the accusation.

India, meanwhile, said it would allow Pakistanis across the cease-fire line in the disputed territory of Kashmir to receive aid at three relief camps it was setting up. The step is a further goodwill gesture between the longtime South Asian rivals in the wake of shared grief following the temblor that killed an estimated 79,000 people.
The U.N. also appealed for more aid two weeks after the Oct. 8 earthquake, warning of another wave of deaths if survivors do not get shelter and food before the Himalayan winter sets in.
NATO has agreed to send up to 1,000 troops to Pakistan to boost relief efforts.
“We urgently need tents, shelter and helicopters for inaccessible areas,” said Jan van de Moortele, the UN’s humanitarian aid coordinator for Pakistan. “Time is against us. We can buy everything with money, but not time.”
Relief operations have taken on increasing urgency as temperatures drop. In Kashmir, snow has already fallen in the high mountains, and in upland villages, temperatures are below freezing at night.
An estimated 3.3 million people were left homeless by the quake. Van de Moortele said at the current rate, some 200,000 tents will be in the country by winter — only enough to house about half the homeless families.
New York-based Human Rights Watch accused civilian authorities, working under military supervision, of storing tents and other needed relief goods at a supply depot in Muzaffarabad, the city at the heart of the quake-shattered region in Pakistani Kashmir.
Pakistani officials at the scene told the organization this was being done “so that they would be able to avoid problems when senior military and civilian officials demand supplies that otherwise would not be available,” the group said in a statement.
One official said he would be fired if he gave out tents, the group added.
“Tents are the difference between life and death,” said Brad Adams, Asia director for Human Rights Watch. “It is essential for the public to know that aid is being handled in a non-arbitrary, nondiscriminatory manner.”
Pakistan’s chief army spokesman, Maj. Gen. Shaukat Sultan, called the accusation “a totally baseless and wrong report.”
“At present, there is no need to store, and there is no place to store these things, which we desperately need at this point in time to save tens thousands of people rendered homeless due to the massive destruction,” he said.

Death to those who knowingly support these entities!!!
Long live Pakistani people!!!
Re: The Corrupt government of Pakistan...
umm you could have prayed that may allah give those who are in wrong sum hidayat, so they can repent before they die.. rather then curse them to die.. as most of pakis are part of the corruption in pak. no on is perfect, so ur simply cursin half the time ur self..
so best is to pray to allah that may those ppl who are doin wrong, give them hidayat so they can see the right path, and take the vail of money from their eyes.. its month of ramadan.. and in that way ull get ur swaab, and maybe if ur dua is granted.. look how many ppl will be doin good..

Re: The Corrupt government of Pakistan…
Yeah i agree, i got carried away with all that useless criticism.
Re: The Corrupt government of Pakistan…
I have heard about many shopkeepers increasing the prices of the goods required for relief efforts, people selling tents and stuff on much higher prices than normal and some other horrible acts by some greedy people but can we generalise like that?? What about those people who gave away things for free ( many shopkeepers did that) lots of people refused to shop for eid so that they can donate more, government employees donating their salaries etc.
Some greedy army jawaans may have sold stuff out but what about thousands of them working day and night???
Mr Malakand wants death for everyone
good on you mate, that solves all the problems in the world.
